  nice location for family

  The location: 7/10 close to Palace,a lot of restaurants but for the beach you need a car...5 min until center. The hotel is perfect for kids with an indoor/ext playground , pool, big rooms, clean, quiet, nice sea view 9/10. The breakfast is included and it is ok 7/10 -nothing special .

  Average hotel, not a 4*

  The hotel entrance is at the top of a hill which you have to walk up to exit the hotel grounds. Check in was efficient and we were directed to our room. The room was clean but crowded with large furniture, the balcony overlooking the pool was large enough for two people, it did have a rack for drying towels. There was a complimentary bottle of water and a bottle of wine but no cork screw or wine glasses! We chose this hotel because it has an indoor pool, only half the pool was open and you could not go in without a swimming hat. The spa area was large but smelled foisty so we did not use this, we never saw anyone in the spa area. We both booked a massage, the massage area was a gazebo near the outdoor pool. The pool was a good size, the pool beds were better than basic sun beds, however you had to carry your mattress from the hotel and return it yourself after use. There were no staff in the pool area. The first evening we walked back to the hotel and went to the bar in the restaurant for a drink, at 10.40 we were told the bar was closing in 20 minutes. The hotel advertises a lobby bar and a bowling bar with quote: good music to the midnight hours neither of these were open. We stayed two nights, on day two the cleaner came to our room as we were leaving. When we returned there was a complimentary bottle of water, two coffee satchets (but no 3in1 - there were two of these on arrival), the used coffee cup had been replaced with a clean one but the two used water glasses had not been changed. We had tidied our bed which was just as well as she didnt do anything to them. The breakfast was ok, typically continental, but no staff member to meet and greet you and advise what to do. Pros: The hotel offers free parking and there are plenty spaces. The girl in reception was very helpful and spoke English. Comfortable bed. The few staff there were polite. Good location for Botanical gardens. Free Wi-Fi. Some eateries nearby. Cons: Facilities advertised were not open. Pool area and grounds needed tidying, there were lots of weeds. Lack of staff. Not the service expected in a 4* hotel. To get to the beach there are lots of steps, the marina and better restaurants are a walk along the promenade.

  Good location

  Good location just walking distance from the Botanical gardens and Queen Mary Castle. Clean rooms, ordinary food, clean pool for kids and adults. The design and furniture of the hotel is a little bling bling. Forget about the wifi Safe free parking

  Very palatial inside outside facilities need TLC

  Easy to find by co-ordinates, parking was fine and check-in went smoothly. Everything was ornate and spotlessly clean indoors. The small lift worked well. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. We had deluxe doubles. On arrival there was fruit, wine and water in the room. The water was replaced daily. The minibar had a range of items which were reasonably priced. There was a kettle and a couple of fruit tea sachets so if it's coffee you prefer take your own. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows better than normal for a hotel. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choice for all tastes. It changed a little every day. The drinks machine did take a bit of getting used to, though. What let the place down for us were the pools and outdoor areas. The outdoor pool would have been great when first built but it had missing small tiles, showed signs of mould , with rough cement on the rim. The slabs around the pool were a trip hazard because they were so uneven and it all looked very neglected. Half of the indoor pool was covered over with floating swimming aids and toys.in the other half: not at all inviting. The bowling alley was closed as it was undergoing renervation. They had obviously made an effort to attract and entertain children with slides, toys and indoor ball pit but the gardens needed more care. If the outdoors was up to the standard of the indoors it would live up to its name. I shall be keeping an eye on this hotel as we would love to book again if renovations take place to the outdoor pool area as it is in a great location.

  Very good place in Balchik

  Very good hotel! Few steps away from botanic gardens and queensMary of Romania Palace the hotel provides all you need for a relaxing holliday Sparkling clean everywhere ( the rooms, restaurant, outside area) we higly appreciate this. We have a room at 3 rd floor and we can see the sea even the lication is located in a little forest that block the view The outside pool is very nice , plenty of space to relax For the families with children is a very good hotel :the kids have a little pool, a place in the garden and an entire room with different kind of stuffvfirvthem to play The breakfast was very good , you can choose from a large variety of food. We have also dinner at the restaurant and the food was very good The staff :very proffesional , kind , willing to help anyway they can so you have a wonderful holiday Thank you for a very nice holiday to all staff at hotel Elite palace and spa
