  Gem of a find

  We stumbled onto Hotel Eleven for a quick overnight stay to do some hiking and visit some wineries in the Austin area for Labor Day weekend. We landed there on their first night to reopen (if memory serves me) after a brief closure due to COVID. The owner, Shelly, checked us in and was very helpful and offered some great recommendations for local restaurants. They even allowed us to fill up our cooler the next morning to keep wine chilled while sitting in a hot car during our hike and winery stops throughout the day. The hotel itself was designed by her husband architect, and they paid close attention to detail in every way. My husband's construction background and critical eye for detail was impressed. Also the bed was super comfy. We enjoyed our stay, and wish it had been for longer. We'll definitely be back!

  My fiancé and I had a wonderful time at Hotel Eleven. Though its important I mention that prior to our stay, I was not an engaged man! After seeing pictures of the rooftop deck, I knew this would be the perfect place to pop the question. Upon emailing the hotel, I was quickly put in correspondence with the owner, Shelly. Shelly made the whole experience, from planning to execution, absolutely stress-free. She was kind and patient, and that attitude was reflected amongst the staff of the hotel. The hotel was fantastic. Its design is contemporary and modern, the atmosphere warm and friendly. They have a great bar downstairs, a scenic rooftop deck, and to top it all off, the most charming cat in all of Austin, Louie the Cat! Whether youre planning on popping the big question, or are just looking for a wonderful spot to stay in Austin, you will not go wrong with choosing Hotel Eleven.

  Best place to stay in Austin

  We stayed at The Cat Noir during the storm in Austin, and although we werent expecting to stay here (we lost power in our Airbnb), we are so happy we did! Shelly, the hotel owner, went above and beyond every day. She is truly one-of-a-kind. She was so kind and was always willing to help us out, whether it be offering to prepare food for us when there was a shortage or giving us a ride to our Airbnb to pick up stuff. The hotel was excellentvery clean, comfortable, and overall a lovely experience. Its an awesome location, too. Close to a bunch of restaurants and very walkable. When we are back in Austin we will definitely stay here again.

  Hotel Eleven/The Cat Noir Hotel

  Sometimes the Fates align circumstances... when we arrived in Austin the weather gods aligned for the Storm of the Century to hit, bringing record breaking low temperatures, snow and ice. On the plus side, the benevolent gods aligned for us to be booked at the Cat Noir Hotel, formally known as the Hotel Eleven, who had power throughout our time there. We were supposed to be there three nights while we visited our son, but the weather forced us to be in Austin for 7 nights. The hotel owner, Shelly, could not have been more gracious... she treated us like family. It is not that she granted every request - she anticipated things we hadnt thought of and took care of them before we were aware we needed them. We had a lot of issues we were juggling because of our travel delays, but the one thing we never had to worry about was the temporary place of safety we had during an extremely stressful time. I am so grateful to Shelly and the Cat Noir for providing a place of comfort, safety, and friendship at a time we needed it most. O, yeah - the bed was super comfortable and the room was amazing. There was a great bar/restaurant downstairs (Uncle Nickys) that also stepped in during the emergency to add their support to hotel clients. We were really treated like family and we were all in this together. God bless these wonderful people!!!

  Hotel Great

  After searching many places to stay in Austin, I found this listing as the number 1 B & B in Austin. Read some of the reviews and convinced myself to stay here for three nights. Small hotel with limited parking in the back and additional street parking around it. It was neat and clean. Very helpful and personable staff ready to help. It is located in East Austin with various eating options within walking distance such as Hillside Farmacy and Paperboy. There is a food truck park right across the street. It offers Jamaican, Thai, and Mexican fare among others. Franklin BBQ is nearby too. Meanwhile, our room on the 3rd fl, #9, was very comfortable and with a large bathroom. We liked the balcony in our room and visited the roof top for better views of the neighborhood. Due to COVID, we were forewarned at the front desk that there wouldnt be room service. It was fine with us. We needed some toiletries and were able to get them from the front desk. Overall, the service was superb+ (the plus is for our silent host Louie the cat). I do recommend this place and would stay here again. Thanks.
