  December break post lockdown

  We have stayed at this hotel a few times and are always delighted to go back; this time was no different. We booked two nights as a post lock down break and everything was perfect. We felt very safe and that all guidelines were followed correctly; effective social distancing without too much fuss. The service accross all areas of the hotel were exceptional; breakfast and dinner for two nights. Well cooked, presented and plenty of choice. All team members we met were friendly and accomodating, spending time to chat and get to know the guests which made for a really enjoyable stay. We had our dog with us and she too was also very welcome, with an area in the bar reserved for us and a 'nothing too much' attitude from all the team. We shall look forward to returning again!

  Amazing Food and Wonderful Staff!

  My Husband and I visited the hotel for dinner and we had the best experience. We were looked after very well and nothing was too much trouble. The staff provided recommendations from the menu and which wine to pair these with. Excellent wine and service was very smooth with a good atmosphere. The food was exceptional and will definitely recommend to friends and family to visit. Fantastic evening - Thank you!

  Beautiful hotel and helpful staff

  My husband and I stayed for 1 one night in December. We also brought our puppy with us. The hotel is beautiful, staff couldn't be more helpful. Food is always amazing in Hotel Du Vin. Very highly recommended.

  So good again and again.

  Another outstanding evening at The Hotel Du Vin. Thank you. We were lucky to squeeze in a last minute reservation this evening for grannys birthday. Hazel at the front desk was our first point of contact... Hazel was a delight to chat to, on the phone and made our experience feel special from the moment we booked. Then we arrived with 2 young children.. I had pre warned the restaurant.. we actually couldnt have been made to feel more welcome! Surprise! We are so used to being met by restaurants that clearly dislike kids and cant wait to get rid of us. This certainly wasnt the case here.. High chairs were at the ready. Kiddie menu that covered all bases.. and done well. Delicious prawns to start, fresh fish goujons next, followed by banana brownies.. yes pllllease! Yes, that was just the kids. My veal cheek stew was delicious. Rich and tender. Senon our amazing waitress and part of the reason we return here time and time again .. is an angel and a real pro. She makes dining with our kids and family an actual pleasure! Nothing is difficult when we ask for any extra requests. And if I was ever to complain about anything (within reason) my views are valued and not dismissed. Senon and her team in the bistro are a group of individuals that make you want to bother to go out for dinner and put make up on! She knows her clients and makes them feel special, acknowledged and quietly and gently looks after us all. Such a skill. Hotel du Vin is consistently good. So we consistently return. Thank you.

  Essential business stay

  Thank you all at Hotel Du Vin, under the Covid restrictions all the amenities were still restricted, However from arriving to leaving 5 days later, I was absolutely , so impressed how well I was looked after, All the staff from receptionists to the individuals who delivered the meals to my room, So polite and well mannered ,nothing too much trouble, the hotel itself, well organised in such a beautiful surroundings, The room was immaculately clean, So comfortable and warm, I will return to take advantage of the patio and Bistro to relax and enjoy the extensive menu, Thank you so much for making my stay such a pleasure ,especially under all the covid restrictions Well done all, and will see you very soon ,
