Spacious & spotless rooms, charming staff, centrally located with fantastic food.Stayed here during a cycle tour of the Neuchatel Lake. It's a large family run hotel which is a stones-throw from the centre of Estavayer-le-Lac and a short walk down to the harbour. Evening Dinner menu was so good I ordered two mains and wasn't disappointed! Breakfast was included in my booking and was the standard continental. WiFi was free and strong all around the building. There is a large bar/lounge and a night club attached to the B&B...being a heavy sleeper, I didn't notice any loud music or other but there are rooms on the other side of the building if needed. Will definitely stay again.

LovelyMy wife, and both children, were put in here by the RAC when our vehicle broken down in Switzerland. We stayed for 3 nights. We were made to feel very welcome from when we arrived with our belongings in many carrier bags, right through to when we departed. The family room over looking the garden was excellent. Large, with beds, table, TV with loads of channels including UK. Plus comfortable beds and kitchen area. We stayed Sunday to Tuesday night and for the first few nights it was like we were the only ones in the hotel. Nice and quiet. Great location for the old town, but a good ten mins walk to the harbour and beach areas, both recommended. Breakfast included and was the normal continental style, basic but good all the same. Definitely recommend.

No frills, clean, friendly and helpfulWe turned up here for one night and the room we were given was a large self contained suite with kitchen and dining area, great for us as we were on a motorbike with loads of gear. Room was clean, bed very comfortable, staff so helpful. We ate in their restaurant that evening and the food was very good with fish from the lake. (No bones!). Garage for motorbike was offered for free. Hotel is in the historic centre which was lovely to walk and explore.

Very comfortable and cleanThis is a very comfortable and easy going place to stay. Parking and wifi included, and comfortable bed. Everyone was great and polite. We enjoyed staying here in the old town for a night. We'd recommend the old town over the port which is a bit dull.

Kind service, dated rooms, high priceFirst the pluses: located in the town but on the road going down to the lake makes this ideally situated. Walking to dinner (@frog&roses café-TOP!) was a cinch. The staff was kind, especially the dark-haired woman literally running to serve everyone during the morning rush. Breakfast was fine - yummy bread. The drawbacks were that our room (209) by the road was last updated decades ago. Charging 166chf for such a puny, 1990s style room caused our faces to curl into frowns upon entry. The shower water performed a stunning feat at going from ice cold to scalding hot before you could jump out of the way. Not the worst place, but Ill likely not return this lifetime until after they update.
