  OK for a quick stopover but nothing more

  The position of this hotel is promising when viewed on Google maps/streetview because it is right on the lake frontage, with excellent views across the water. But that is pretty much it. Everything about this hotel is basic. The rooms are tired, the bed was uncomfortable and the establishment lacks any facilities except a very basic breakfast room. The level of service is practically non existent; no personnel present after 7pm and access via a coded night door. Furthermore its position, apart from its lakeside view, is uninspiring being adjacent to a very busy and noisy road and also a long way out of the town centre.

  Disappointing

  The receptionist was very abrupt and rude. Not interested in making us feel welcome at all, Where is the pool?....I'm still wondering.....It would appear there is no pool! Frustrating. It was my fault that we booked a room facing the mountain side as opposed to the glorious lake but we are suspicious that we could have been accommodated with a switch from back to front-when making the request. The reception guy was NOT interested in that discussion. The room was uncomfortable and I am not the type of person that would usually say that. If you stay here bring your own pillow.

  Hotel Du Posted Missing

  My stay here was for 3 nights. After a long trip, connecting flight, delayed luggage etc, all I wanted to do was check in, get a shower and have some rest for a bit before meeting colleagues later in the evening. Got to this hotel around 14:00. Was very disappointed to see that there was a sign on the front door which read in French 're-opening 16:00'. To my dismay and disappointment, I felt a bit stranded having no luggage and pretty much fed up with 2 hours to try and kill before I could even get into this hotel. I did spot the owner at 15:00 but he didn't open for me. He didn't come back til around 16:45!!! 45 minutes late and by this point, seemed to be lining up for a not so good trip away. Check in: Receptionist does not speak English, even using Google translate didn't seem too bothered when I tried to explain my luggage is late and will be getting delivered to hotel the following day. I wanted to make sure he would be around for it! Rooms: Basic but at least the showers are hot. Bed was ok for me. I can sleep anywhere but if people like their comfort they may struggle. Breakfast: I am guessing there were only three guests when I was staying. What was there (not much) was all counted in threes. Three slices of cheese, three slices of ham, three pieces of bread, you get the picture. Orange juice machine didn't even work and coffee was ok at best. I only had breakfast once here. The other two mornings I went to another location to get something a bit more substantial and value for money. Delayed luggage: The airport tried calling the hotel several times and as no answer, I had to go all the way back to the airport myself to collect it. Not good! Check out: Safe to say, was glad to check out. I didnt bother trying to change my hotel during my visit to Aix-Les-Bains as I thought it would just be too much hassle. As this was a business trip, everything is paid for by my employer. But here, I had to pay!! Even though I had my booking references etc. Not very helpful at all and had to fork out over 250 Euros! I think this place is ideal for a one night stop off on a long journey. Just a bed for the night and a hot shower. Nothing else. I've stayed in better hostels over the years.

  Poor hotel in lovely location

  This visit was seriously affected by very hot weather and as the hotel had no air conditioning, the stay was very uncomfortable. The room was basic although the balcony did provide nice views of Bourget lake. You need to book breakfast on arrival as the reception desk closes early and if you have not ordered then no breakfast. The hotel was noisy with the road very close and the hot weather prevented closing the windows. Nice walks by the lake and some good restaurants nearby

  Very tired hotel

  Arriving at 14:00 just to find the hotel closed with a message that it would re-open at 16:00. The room was clean but rather small for 3 persons and the balcony only had 2 chairs. Breakfast was definitely not something I in the future Will take in this hotel. The hotel really need a make over and to be cleaned outside. Dont Think I Will come back even though the Best thing was the view from the balcony.
