A superb hotelMy wife and I stayed at the Hotel Du Lac, Bellevue from 24 August - 3 September 2019. It is a great hotel in a fantastic location; literally 5 minutes from all the shops and restaurants in Bardolino. We were thoroughly impressed by the hotel and its staff. The buffet breakfast was superb, as were the snacks and light bites and the main restaurant was excellent too. Each day we were offered cups of pineapple and large pieces of watermelon, whilst sunbathing, a very welcome little addition on a hot day. Whilst drink and bar food at the hotel was priced the same as the bars in Bardolino, happy hour was, again, a very welcome addition. It made a half price Aperol Spritz a must have. My wife and I would have no hesitation returning to this hotel and, in fact, hope to do so in the very near future.

Could not fault this lovely HotelOur first stay at the Hotel Du Lac, recommended by friends. From the porter who collected our cases from the coach to the friendly and welcoming reception staff, nothing was too much trouble. Throughout the hotel all the staff were very friendly, courteous and professional. Our partial lake view room was very spacious, and well equipped, with excellent housekeeping The hot & cold buffet breakfast was very substantial in variety and more than accommodated the European and British palate. The 4/5 course evening meal was excellent in its choice and presentation. The dining room staff was efficient, polite, friendly and very professional. The hotel location is superb, at the lake side and only a 10-15 minute gentle stroll to the ferry terminal and the centre of Bardolino. The Hotel`s public rooms, bar terrace, sun bed area and heated pool offer a peaceful environment supported by first class attentive staff. A lovely and excellent standard hotel in a prime position shall be returning and very happy to recommend

wonderful relaxing holidayFrom the porter taking our cases to our lake view room. The professional front of house staff. The hard working waiters and the lady who kept our room spotless throughout our 11 night stay. I apologise for missing anyone. Thank you all. The food was a delight and is always high on my list for making my holiday great. The previous reviews mention the amenities provided, I swam every day in the excellent heated pool. The helpful staff at reception can advise you on ferries around the lake and the bus to Verona, also any excursions you wish to take. Bardolino is an excellent center for visiting the lower part of the lake, and hotel Du lac et Bellevue a special place to rest between sightseeing.

For location and standard of service this hotel cannot be beatenWe stayed in the Du Lac, Bardolino from 21 to 28 Sept 2019 having stayed here previously 2 yrs ago - this is the one and only time we have ever returned to a resort and hotel - we prefer to go somewhere different every holiday but we loved this place so much and also the hotel that we broke with tradition and returned here this yr. For location and standard of service this hotel cannot be beaten. The staff are hardworking, efficient, friendly, courteous and professional at all times. Our room was very clean and spacious and the bathroom was modern and of a good standard. The bed was very comfortable and the room temperature just right. We had a side view of the lake from our large balcony which was lovely to sit out on with a drink - just to watch the world go by and relax . For all the hotel is situated quite near a main rd there wasn't any prob with noise. Directly opposite the hotel is a large supermarket so perfect for drinks and snacks for the bedroom, plus any other items needed. There was a mini fridge in the room to keep drinks cool and loads of storage space for our clothes and possessions. Breakfast consisted of a plentiful buffet with lots of choice (both hot and cold) and def something to suit all palates - there were several cakes, multiple fruit and juice choices, eggs, bacon, a juicer if you preferred to make your own juice and even bubbly. Likewise the evening meal was both delicious and plentiful and always 4 choices - plus a welcome salad buffet if we felt the need but often the other courses were more than sufficient. Drinks were reasonably priced and the waiting staff courteous, helpful and provided a great service. We always looked forward to our evening meals and never felt the need to eat out on an evening such was the high standard of cuisine on offer. The pool area is shared with the Belle Vue hotel next door and is partially covered so suitable for cold weather and finer days. It was never very busy whilst we were at the hotel which was a bonus as far as I was concerned and could get a decent swim. There was also an area described as a 'private beach' which to me was just a pebbled area within the hotel grounds with sun loungers on - I would not have classed it as a beach as there was a hedge along the bottom which separated it from a road and footpath before the lake edge so you could not have gone for a paddle in the lake directly from this area but it was pleasant enough and very private for relaxing The location of the hotel was approx. 10 mins walk out of the main area of Bardolino where the ferry terminal, shops, cafes and bars are situated. The path/boardwalk along to this area was via the back gate of the hotel and along the side of the lake so very pleasant for a stroll. Along the main rd at the front of the hotel it was approx. 10 mins walk to the tourist info centre and bus station to catch a local bus. We used both local bus and ferry services as well as organised tour to Milan. There is a wkly market which took place on thurs - it is close to the hotel but I personally found the prices of the clothes on sale quite expensive and not what I would consider 'market' type prices - the prices were more in keeping with the high end retail shops in UK but it was worth a look even though very busy towards mid day. Overall I loved this hotel and would def return without hesitation - the staff were excellent and I have no complaints whatsoever - the resort was perfecto - weather just right for sightseeing and getting around - I recommend without hesitation

Enjoyable few daysMy wife and I had 5 nights here in September. We had a junior suite overlooking the lake which was spacious with a small balcony. The hotel seems to cater a lot for package holidays. The food was good (we had dinner once but otherwise ate out). An excellent swimming pool which I used every morning early with no other people in it. Location good. So called beach area for sunbathing more like small pebbles. The most uncomfortable loungers weve ever experienced.
