Basic Bed and Breakfast in a location right at Omaha BeachThe location was great. In a small village near the American Cemetery and Omaha beach. This as a bed and breakfast. Not historic facility but old probably from right after D Day. The area was rural and hence not crowded. As a result there were a minimum of amenities close by. We stayed in the family room which had one double bed and then twins in a separate room. It was nice and clean. We stayed in the family room which had one double bed and then twins in a separate room. It was nice and clean but very basic as would be expected based upon the location and price. Most of the rooms were in another building and I did not see inside it. The owners or the staff did not speak any English. This did not cause any problems but we were not able to ask any questions about the area or get any recommendations. They did provide a book with some places listed but that is of minimum value when you can't ask questions. Breakfast was classic continental. Served in the central room that served as the reception, eating area, and small shop. What was served was good but not hearty. There was Wi-Fi but it did not reach all rooms. It was always on in the reception area. Recommend if you expect what you will get. It is not a luxury accommodation.

Nice country house and good location for exploring sitesAt this B&B we were greeted by the hostess who gave us all informations about nearby (you have to drive) restaurants and supermarket when arriving. The room was very good and quiet. The breakfast was ok (yogurt, bread, jam, cake and their own apple juice). The internet is slow and we had some difficulties connecting to it at all. In total, this was a nice stay and the place is good value and a good location for exploring the D-day sites nearby. It is possible to walk through the nice landscape to the american cemetery and Omaha beach.

Comfortable B & BI very much enjoyed my stay here. Nice people, rooms clean & comfortable, lots of amenities. Including laundry and kitchen. I could not connect to their Wi-Fi, but that may have been my error with handling the password. Centrally located to Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery, other nearby cemeteries, chateaus, museums and shopping. Would love to visit again. The breakfast was not what I expected. They have a nice gift shop. They also make their own apple juice which is amazing. Also a great value to stay here. I stayed in the off season, so traffic and crowds were low. The owners do not speak even a little English. Some French would be helpful. I was lucky to have their son present at times to help with the language barrier.

Centrally located B&B in Omaha Beach areaAs noted host's speak limited English (I realize we are in their country and should try to speak some French which we did but when you are in an area where many of your guests will be visiting D-Day sites whom many will be Americans you would think they would at least know some English)...the husband speaks more and will work with you in his limited English but it is clear the wife does not or will not speak English. Breakfast is mostly good but what would it take to have a least some protein choices like hard boiled eggs , some sliced meats and cheese? The female host is a little "persnickety" shall I say...not outright rude but persnickety for example at breakfast which consisted of 3 long tables with multiple seats she required you to sit in a particular seat...usually next to other guests which I'm sure inspire conversation but in our case it was awkward as we sat next to a French couple that didn't speak any English....making the arrangement a little awkward. I also moved my coffee cup to help make pouring coffee easier for the host which she did not like at all...put it back in it's position and poured the coffee...really? did you need to clearly make the customer feel like they did something wrong? Overall the grounds were beyond beautiful, we were sent off on our journey with a warm wave by both hosts...I just want people to know what they can expect....you could do MUCH WORSE not staying here.

Nice findAfter reading previous reviews Im sure there must be new owners as we found them to be extremely friendly and welcoming. We stayed one night in the Rose room which was clean and well appointed. The bed was a little hard but didnt spoil our stay. We booked in for dinner there and were joined on a long table by 6 other guests, a family of four from Italy and a Portuguese couple. This did make conversation a little difficult but the both of our hosts tried their hardest to speak with us all. The woman spoke English quite well. Dinner consisted of Normandy cuisine: bread and olives, ham and vegetable quiche, roast pork in a cider sauce with roast potatoes and green beans, a cheese board followed by apple crumble. Not very different from an English dinner. Everything was very tasty as were drinks they were included in the price. Next morning we had bread, croissants, jams and this was followed by bacon and very fresh eggs. Tea, coffee and apple juice were plentiful. Overall a great stay and would stay there again if we were visiting the area.
