  A lovely place to stay

  Our stay at Domaine de Joinville was comfortable and pleasant. We took advantage of our bikes to tour the area at our leisure. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious. Thank-you for your hospitality.

  WONDERFUL WEEKEND COUNTRY STYLE HOUSE

  we spent a wonderful get away weekend at this hotel sited in a beautiful english park next to the Chateau d'Eu. Hotel and parc are very nicely maintained, so are the modern but tasteful interiors. There is a big jacuzzy behind the house (warm water), the day spa we did not use. Breakfast was excellent with delicious pastries and cake. Highly recommandable. The staff made us feel very welcome. we will come back.

  Amazing spot

  A lovely hotel, though not 5*, close to Eu and Le Tréport just into Normandy and less than 2 hours drive from Eurotunnel at Calais. Food was not cheap, and if you were staying more than 2 or 3 days your menu choice would be quite limited, but it was beautifully prepared and presented, and like pretty much everywhere in France professionally served. The wine list also included a wide range of options by the glass which is relatively unusual. Breakfast was a generous buffet style offering. A quiet location with a spa if youre interested!!

  Great place to celebrate a 20 year anniversary moto trip

  Domaine de Joinville is a really great and charming place to be, worh 4* in a magnificent nature setting. We were on a roadtrip with a brand new Gold Wing moto and stayed there after our first 400km that day. We asked for a sercure spot to place our motorcycle and that was no problem at all, we parked inside in de conference room, amazing kindness. We also had some special requests for our dinner and no problem, pure flexibility and kindness. And again we asked for an early check out in the morning before breakfast time, everything was smooth and enjoyable, we recommend Domaine de Joinville for couples, for a group of friends, for a business incentive etc, this is a joyfull and peacefull place. Enjoy like we did!

  Sadly disappointing

  The receptionist was grim faced and when I asked (in French) if our room was quiet she just shrugged. She then told us the dining room was full and if we wanted to eat there the next day we would have to book there and then. She did not suggest any alternatives. Given this attitude we decided that we would prefer to eat out anyway for both dinner and breakfast and we did very well in Eu and Le Treport. Our room was small, dark and in poor condition. Just a few examples - peeling wallpaper, stained toilet bowl, toilet roll holder splashed with emulsion paint, flimsy plastic bath that buckled when you stood under the shower, grouting missing from bathroom tiles, yellowing plastic fittings. The bed was a good size but I was surprised to find the bottom sheet was fitted directly over the mattress - for hygiene reasons this surely cannot be normal in hotels and it also made the bed feel hard. For this we paid E152 per night room only. When we left we were handed a bill that included the breakfasts we had not taken, although these were then removed. I did not feel comfortable or welcome and I did not feel the hotel lived up to its publicity. What a disappointment as I was really hoping for somewhere cosy that I could return to another time.
