  Comfortable and well sited but...

  Kind of mixed feelings about "Dimitra": to begin with, the site is perfect for quiet, family vacations (the village is very small and quiet with 1-2 tavernas -coffee shops) Dimitra is as you see it at the photos : very near the beach ,simple, clean ,comfortable hotel with a small pool and great view to the sea. My 1st complain is that for the first 24 hours we didn't have warm water. When asked about it firstly we were told: "it's coming !" and next day: "you are the only one who complained about that" when we knew that t 3 other appartments we asked , they had the same problem !! Food is ok. We had the HB version but I suggest you to buy just breakfast or nothing at all. To finish, PARENTS BECAREFUL : the protective rail at the balcony is really low nad easy to climb . The 20" that we were not watching our 2,5 years boy , he had passed his right leg over it , ready to pass the other one also ! When I suggested the owner that this is very easy to fix this (next season !) with a piece of flexible plastic fence (the one that they sell in rolls) he answered me "well at least there lawn under the balcony" ... !!

  Disappointed

  The location was great, clean rooms with sea view, sandy beach, Wifi a little bit tricky at the start. There is a fish restaurant in the hotel but never offered us sea food. Breakfast could have been improved.

  Nice hotel, just a few metres from the sea, perfect for a quiet getaway.

  Amenities in hotel are fine, walking distance to the beach is its greatest advantage, found a great tavern at the marina but haven't tried the food at the hotel. Staff and owner are very friendly and helpful, we had everything we asked for and the view of the sea from our room was great day and night!

  Good value for money

  My stay in Hotel Dimitra was better than i expected. Reading comments before my vacation, i wasn't sure what should i excpect. Now i can say that hotel is family friendly with clean,spacious rooms refreshed daily. Staff were polite and friendly, especially Marina. There is nice and clean beach in front of the hotel (entrance to the sea is not easy everywhere but there were a few spots where you can enter easily, we were there with 2 years old child), and nice pool in front of the hotel. Location is very good, quiet, well conected with good beaches and villages on the Ionian coast. The only thing that can be improved is breakfast buffet, food is delicious but without many choises. We spent really great time, it was good value for money.

  10 stars if possible please

  Family owned hotel in small and tranquill village of Lyigia right above the beach, just few stairs and you are by the sea. Hotel has its own sunbeds and umbrellas there. They are nicest people you will meet, staff and owner both. All rooms have sea view. Ours was with kitchenette, spacious enough, cleaned regularly. Nice pool area and tavern on the terrace. Owner also cooks, prepares excellent fish for moderate prices. All in all, we had a wonderful stay there, sure to come back
