DisappointedStayed 10 days at this hotel. Good location. But lots off cons. The sheets on the bed although clean have large holes in the.the carpet I. The hall was worn and dirty The deck area on the sun Terrace should be condemned it is Coming up all over. Everyone was tripping. There is no safety rail to hold Onto when getting in the whirlpool. People had to hold the fence which was very wobbly. Staff were not interested at all. When informed of the issues with the deck We stayed half board my advice dont hardly any choice on very limited menu which doesn't change. So ate out a lot. Staff were not happy when we went to other bars. Little choice for breakfast. Only two sockets in our room. Sliding door was off hinges for entire stay. I reported on arrival to the owner and it was still not fixed when we left. We will not be staying here again. But definitely in ichlemar again.

Little more than a knocking shopWhere to start ??? Sheets with holes i. Or 2 halves of a sheet sewn together ! Towels either left you covered in white fluff or were so old and worn ( again Cut and sewn - bath sheets fb into hand towels n just overlocked ) Beds was like lying on concrete pillows were like sack of tatties non existent cleaning !!! Sink was reported 3 times for leaking from ubend and soaking floor no plug so i was putting a cloth in - after 3 complaints i was told not to plug anc just to wash eith tap running !!!! Thats the room complaints Pool dirty steps up n down from sunbed area were dangerous no anti slip ( a young lad fell down them) Decking tiles all loose people tripping all over Banister loose on main staircase lift broken most days Waiter although married hit on everything in a skirt and the clientele werent much better This is no way a family hotel - best thing about it wax its location but we used another pool and restaurant every single day ! Hidden GemAvid Turkey goers and this is the first time at the Devamli. We have ate at the love boat for years and drank at the sports bar. They have been excellent in their cleaning regime. Everything is cleaned constantly in the bar area. The rooms are cleaned daily and fresh towels daily. The cleaner is lovely and can speak some English. The food is absolutely fantastic in the sports bar. The best burger we have ever tried. Staff are lovely and cant do enough for you. The owner is lovely. Shes young, modern and speaks perfect English. I had a concern regarding the pool area as it is needing updated and she sat us down and explained that they had 7 days to open the hotel for tourists after they had the green light and just didnt have time to charge to pool area. It will be changed for next year to the artificial green grass. If you have any issues, always speak to the staff. They will try and fix any issues you have. The breakfast is served in the love boat hotel. You get a Turkish breakfast and the choice of egg cooked to order. White coffee is nice as is the tea. The orange juice isnt the best but when you are thirsty you dont really care. Wouldnt hesitate to come back as its a family run hotel and they couldnt be more helpful

Small, clean family-run hotel in central locationWe have just returned from yet another pleasant stay at the Devamli. In some ways it was much the same as ever; but Covid-19 had wrought some changes. The hotel is basic, with small rooms and shower cubicles (how much time do you spend in them anyway?), but it is clean and central, with ready access to shops, restaurants, bars and taxis, with dolmu (minibus) and water taxi services to Marmaris and to Turunç within easy walking distance for most. This is a relatively small, family-run hotel, comprising the hotel itself over the Love Boat restaurant and the Sport Inn bar, with a sun terrace to the rear. For the first time we have known, the Love Boat was not open apart from for serving breakfast to guests, presumably down to Covid-19. My wife had suffered a fall shortly before our pre-booked holiday, which meant she had some difficulty with the stairs at the entrance and couldnt manage the couple of steep steps to the sun terrace; but the Devamli family were very understanding and helpful, as were all their staff, especially the indominable Serden, and they enabled us to enjoy a very pleasant holiday in hot, dry weather despite the medical setback. On a general note about Içmeler, quite a few hotels, bars and restaurants were closed due to Covid-19, and this resulted in a slightly strange atmosphere. The Turkish Government insists on masks at all times outdoors, with a heavy fine for default; but whilst staff in hotels, bars, restaurants and shops almost invariably wore masks, probably only 10% or so of people in the street wore them, and the vast majority of the wearers were tourists. We saw the police round up some people into a van - probably local serial defaulters. We met many of the usual regulars in the Hotel Devamli and around the resort; but this year there were also a lot of newcomers, most of whom had rebooked after cancellation of holidays in Spain or Portugal. All we spoke to said they just had not realised what Turkey was like, they loved Içmeler, and they would be coming again next year instead of going to the Costas. They were impressed by the friendliness of the Turkish people and the relative cheapness. We have stayed at the Hotel Devamli many times, and we have already booked two more visits next year. The hotel is unpretentious and is perhaps not the best choice for those who just want to lounge around a pool all day, every day, nor for those sad people who spend a lot of time in their rooms. However, if you dont want to pay for those extras that you wont be using and you want to spend most of your time exploring the area, taking trips out, taking part in the many water sports or just wandering around a very pleasant resort, and if youre after somewhere clean and tidy to stay, handy for local services and amenities, Içmeler and the Hotel Devamli may be just the place for you.

what a terrible hotelFirst impressions, the hand rail up the steps into the hotel is loose. My room was not available so they put me in the penthouse (joke) if that room costs a £100 per night it's disgusting. Firstly out of 15 plug sockets only 2 worked. the ones in the kitchen area did not work at all i had to plug kettle into socket near the floor, there are 2 showers one of which didn't work. To make the tv work you had to wiggle the wires. After 2 night i was moved into another room right at the front of the hotel even after asking for a quiet room due to the noise. The noise in the front rooms of the hotel is unbearable as you have 3 bars competing for trade. The social distancing in the hotel was not adhered to in any way shape or form, the cleaning was terrible if yours was the first room to be cleaned you got a faint smell of bleach, if yours was any after that all you got was a gritty floor and it was a joke throughout the hotel that you slept in a bed with sand in it. i was even asked to share a table with a complete stranger. It is the first hotel i have every stopped in which charged £10 a week to use the fridge and yes (the fridge has a lock on the door). Then to top it all off on my last night whilst having my dinner one of the bar staff took his bobble out whilst passing my table and flicked his hair all over my dinner. The bar man saw this and informed the owner and her head waiter but they totally ignored it as thought it was a normal practice. I have to say i would rather sleep on the beach that stop in the hotel again. Read the reviews they are correct the hotel is a joke
