  Much better than a three star hotel

  We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Its much better than youd expect a three star hotel to be. The welcome we received was lovely, and when asked upon arrival if we wanted to stay for dinner, we were also told of the night market in town and it was suggested that this would be a good evening trip out for dinner. Nice that the staff didnt just try and sell their restaurant to us! We were in room 9 on the front, but it was quiet and the addition of ac in the room was welcome after spending two weeks in a very hot France with no ac in our rented accommodation! The room was adequately sized but the bathroom was on the small size, and as seems to be common in France it had a WC separate to the bathroom. Breakfast was absolutely fine, although maybe the choice of foods could have been bigger. It wasnt like we went hungry though. Finally - who doesnt need a parrot in a hotel? It was a unique and fun treat to be greeted by a speaking parrot in our arrival!

  Superb staff, hotel and... AND.... a parrot and TWO cats!

  Very nice restaurant, too. Very clean, modern hotel, much better on inside than it appears outside. Friendly staff, room comfortable, well staffed. Very conveniently located off highway. Quiet, charming. Well done!!

  Three Star Really?

  This is probably the best three star hotel you will stay in. The staff were friendly,welcoming and helpful, the food was first class and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Not perhaps the best looking or best positioned of hotels in terms of views but well worth a visit if you are in the area, you will be well fed and looked after.

  Very enjoyable stay

  We recently stayed for three nights in this hotel. The room was a decent size with a patio area to sit out in. Although we had prebooked dinner for the first night we had intended to walk into town to eat on the other two evenings. However, the restaurant was so good - different menu every evening - that we ate at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and efficient and were always there to help. Lovely owners. Highly recommended.

  Excellent

  We very much enjoyed our stopover at this hotel. Its easy to find and a good location within walking distance of the centre of Azay le Rideau...there is a hill to climb. Our room was comfortable and reasonably well equipped. We are in the restaurant and both the service and food were top notch genuinely dog friendly as well. Everyone was very helpful and the wine/ course match option is recommended. Well done to all we hope to return
