    Bellissimo!

My Husband and I and our two teenagers (aged 17 and 14) stayed at Hotel Delle Nazioni, Jesolo from the 22nd July - 29th July. Prior to booking I had some questions regarding meals and rates and I received very prompt and friendly emails by return from Maria and as I result I booked the hotel direct via the website which was quick and easy to do. We booked a 2 bedroom "Vista Mare" family room. A week or so before we travelled I contacted the hotel again to book a transfer from the airport and as before, my requests were met very promptly and very helpfully with a friendly manner, this time by Francesco and once by Isobella. Perfect. As arranged, the taxi was waiting for us at the airport. The transfer took around 45 minutes. The hotel is very striking, I loved the waterfall along the steps at the front and the lobby inside was equally impressive - very cool, lots of marble, lots of white and some lovely flower arrangements. We received a very warm welcome from Francesco, who talked us through the important details of the hotel and then we went up to our room. The room was great, decorated simply in whites and greens with a twin room plus small balcony and a double room with two balconies, one small and one larger one which overlooked the beach and sea. The bathroom was large, however, the shower was tiny and I felt a little upgrade of the shower head and taps might have been needed, however, both were perfectly functional. Both the rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean and I am OCD about hotel cleanliness! Top marks to the housekeepers, who I should add were super friendly and kept our rooms lovely throughout our stay. They always knocked in the evening and offered us fresh towels too. Brilliant. The hotel is right on the beach and has a gorgeous pool area. You can reserve beds by the pool with Sami, who is great and is also very friendly guy. He always went out of his way to speak to us about our day and was always helpful. The beds cost 5 euros each per day which includes a towel and a glass of iced tea in the afternoon. A lot of guests seem to have booked their beds for the entire week, however, we like to get out and about while we are away so always booked ours the day before we knew we wanted a pool day and never had a problem getting 4 beds together. There are also beds and shades on the beach which are free, but we didn't use these. There is pool menu of sandwiches, drinks and fruit served to the beds. I took a liking to Aperol Spritz and between us we tried various sandwiches, all of which were delicious. The teens particularly enjoyed the ham and cheese toasties. Breakfast was taken on the terrace area and was a lovely buffet of pastries, fruit, cheeses, meats, yogurts, breads, cereals etc and there was a station where eggs of all kinds were made to order. Staff served us with tea and coffee at the table. There is a lunch buffet in the same area each day, which we booked for our last day. The cost was 26 euros each and the buffet was huge, with plenty of salads, meats, fish, pasta's and main courses (freshly griddled fish and chicken on this particular day) and the teenagers were very happy to find hot dogs, pizza and chips! I had some tortellini with ham and cheese along with lots of fresh seafood and salads, the chef said he made it himself and it was absolutely gorgeous. Dinner each night is served in the restaurant on the 1st floor. The main meals change daily but the menu always includes an antipasti starter buffet (amazing selection of fish and salads), pasta's with tomato and meat ragu, steak and cotoletta and there is a dessert of the day plus a granita. We ate there twice, once on my Husband's birthday and we had the fillet steaks which melted in the mouth and were perfectly cooked (our daughter had pasta with tomato sauce) and once later in the week where we both had fritto misto (deep fried mixed seafood) and both teens had the steaks. Each time the food was amazing and there is a fantastic wine list too, i'd highly recommend eating there at least once! Each time we ate we were well attended to by Lisa, Stefano and Sabrina in particular. On my Husband's birthday, a bottle of Prosecco was sent to the room with a birthday message, which was so lovely. When I later thanked Francesco for the gesture, he informed me that the owners make the Prosecco - I recommend having a bottle of that too, it was really very nice. Each evening we sat on the terrace and had drinks after dinner. Sadly I didn't get the name of the fantastic barman, however, he makes incredible Mojitos and Aperol Spritz! The wine served by the glass in the bar was also very nice. The area surrounding the hotel is nice. A short stroll takes you to a few bars and restaurants, we tried 4 in total and all were good (reviewed separately). There was plenty of shops too. We walked to Sealife and the Tropicarium Park but it was a long way (about 50 minutes) and later Francesco told me there was bikes we could have hired for free from the hotel. I would suggest borrowing these if you are looking to go to those places. One morning we also walked up to the Pirate's crazy golf (about 20 minutes walk) and had a game which was great fun. Francesco also arranged bus and boat tickets and gave us a timetable for both so that we could visit Venice for the day. It was completely spectacular and worth the hour long, very hot journey! Overall, although the hotel is most definitely geared up to take mostly German guests (I believe we were the only English family staying at the time), the staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy and we had a truly wonderful holiday. We would recommend the hotel to everyone and would 100% stay again. We were given a bottle of the lovely Prosecco when checking out to take home too, a very kind and appreciated gesture. Thank you so much to Francesco and all the staff along with the owners of the hotel for making our holiday and also my Husband's birthday so special. Grazie dalla famiglia Bowerman!

    SVery bad smelly room

we would have been a special guest since because it was the second time we would stay at this hotel. we got a room with very bad smell throughout our stay for 7 nights. We complained, but instead of switching to another room, they tried to find what was wrong in the drainage system. so we are very dissatisfied with the hotel management. we really felt like special guests ???.

    Very Friendly, nice hotel

Standard double room is small but beautiful. All people of the staff are very friendly. Very convenient to reach by car (and just park it there and immediately get assistance by a friendly guy of the hotel which is especially nice arriving on a very hot day with a few pieces of heavy luggage).

    Fabulous guest experience

It's been our 5th stay in Italy, and must admit best when it comes to the care we'd been given. The staff is really committed, all our requests were fullfilled, it simply exceeded our expectations. Special thanks to great receptionists Francesco and Maria (both with great approach to our son), pool & housekeeping staff. Breakfasts were delicious with a wide range of choice, though same for the whole week. Not able to say much about evening restaurant, as our son's bed timelines allowed only one dinner, also good. Hotel decor... well it is a matter of taste, we liked groundfloor, rooms could be a bit more modern and spacious, but are very clean and with wonderfull sea view and evening waves beat. All in all, we are happy we could visit this venue. Thank you!
