  hotel lindo nuevo

  el hotel es limpio aqui pasamos un dia esta en un lugar muy silenzioso y cerca di un paisito pequeno que se llama sicili. el lugar nos gusto mucho fuimos para ver unos amigos que vivieron en montevideo, las casa son muy antiguas la gente parece vivir in otro mundo, pero simpatica te miran mal nos gusto mucho comimos mucho y tomamos mucho vino cacero, nos diero acite echos da ellos muy rico.

  La Dolce Vita

  We came to southern Italy to celebrate the christening of one of Lisas best friends daughters and our rooms at the Hotel Del Parco had been arranged for us, it being the only hotel in the vicinity. A typically late flight led to us arriving pretty late so we didnt pull up until gone midnight but were welcomed by the owner personally; I suspect late night arrivals were not typical in this much sleepier, chilled part of the world, so that was a nice and welcoming touch. We were also much taken by the hotel cat who made sure we booked in okay before slinking off into the night, sadly not to be seen by us again. Modest and family run, it had a nicely laid back feel. Typically Italian with marble floors and airy spaces, the room was perfect for what it was. All the basic features were present and the bed was comfortable and there was a balcony that provided a wonderful view miles down the hilly valley which was a real bonus. Breakfast next day was of a modest continental variety though with absolutely exquisite juices, including peach, pineapple and pear. There was certainly enough to line the stomach for the day ahead. There were a couple of quibbles - the loo roll ran out after less than a day and, though I do say so myself, we are somewhat modest in our paper management. Nonetheless it was rectified instantly and fortunately to neither of our embarrassment. I was also disappointed after the first morning to find our final breakfast had been depopulated of most products only an hour into the allotted slot. The juices were exquisite but not enough to sustain one all by themselves. Still, I get the impression that the large numbers booked in for the occasion were not typical and that had been overlooked when stocking the larder. Though I lingered on 3 stars the excellent and hospitable welcome and attention from staff alongside my consideration that this was not a typical weekend has pushed me to 4. If you find yourself in this sleepy part of the world which is wonderful I might add with dramatic scenery, sun and sea, and very much a local secret. I would have no problems recommending the Hotel Del Parco for its friendly faces, brilliant balcony and ever so cute cat!
