  Spacious room, nice restaurant and hall

  The hotel is located about 10 minutes by car from the nearest city. My room was big with a nice bathroom and shower. Quality of sleep so so, could hear the neighboor watching TV. Breakfast acceptable. I did not eat at the restaurant but it looked very nice. Private parking available. Wi-fi worked OK.

  Peace and quiet in Drenthe (NL)

  Quiet, Clean and comfortable. A nice holtel on the edge of the Dwingelderveld National Park, and just off the motorway (A28). The hotel has a number of different room types. (Budget, Standard, Luxury and Suite. Also conference facilities). We stayed in a luxury room. It had plenty of room, and it was nice to have a proper shower as well as a bath. The room had an outside sitting area, which would have been really great if the sun had come out. The Hotel resturant called OP2 (from the address of the hotel "Oude Postweg 2") serves very good food. The menu however is a little restricted. (Included vegitarian choices). One of their specialities is fresh lobster. They have a selection in a tank, and you can choose which you want. The resturant has a large outside patio/seating area, which should be lovely in the summer months. With the exception of the budget rooms, the whole of the hotel is on one level, which should make life easy for those that have difficulty getting around. The hotel has its own parking area. There was a bus stop just outside the hotel.

  Not convenient for business

  I stayed here during a business trip! I would not recommend this hotel again for anyone who has to work in the hotel. The internet connection was bad and the rooms/ hotel was outdated. The best thing about the hotel was free parking space. Would not stay here again!

  Great place in the area of nature reserve Dwingelder Veld

  A friendly hotel in the village of Spier, just a few hundred meters from the start of the nature reserve Dwingelder Veld: woods, open fields, small lakes. Great for bicycling and walking. The rooms are well equipped, without overdone luxury. Many rooms have a terrace to enjoy a quiet evening. Breakfast is well varied.

  Best service ever

  Given we live in a different world this place is amazing. Its run by the owners and service is 6* no less. Given circumstances I cannot fault anything. Great food, lush terrace and amazing breakfast. Highly recommend. Also bike hire available.
