  This is a great little hotel.

  Set in an old building which was rebuilt after WWII this building is full of character. There are not may rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor, this is the 2nd time I have stayed here and both rooms were extremely comfortable, nicely furnished (old fashioned) with a good bathroom. No issues with storage space. The breakfast is simple but good and in the evenings the beer is excellent. There are no lifts available and the 2nd floor is reached by steep narrow stairs so if you have difficulty with stairs request a 1st floor room. The owner is a gentleman, and the locals who use the bar are extremely friendly.

  Our team base for the Drupa exhibition.

  Our company decided to exhibit at the print exhibition called Drupa based in Dusseldorf. My MD had stayed a while ago at the hotel de kroon many years ago, really enjoyed his stay and decided to stay again and booked us all in for the 2 weeks. The town of Gennep is just picturesque, more bicycles than cars, out side a bar / restaurant lots of bikes no cars , kids cycling to school, why don't we do this in the uk. Lots of WW2 history and much of the town during the war was destroyed. The hotel has a large square outside with lots of seating. The inside of the hotel looked great like something from an old ww2 film set, but very smart if that makes sense. The bed rooms were very clean , good shower, tv etc I would give them 7/10. The restaurant for all of us every night was faultless. Great presentation, amazing tasting food , chef is a genius , the asparagus soup was incredible. Staff very friendly. Just loved my 2 weeks at the hotel de kroon, and would love to come back next time as a holiday not work !! If you are reading this, look no further book your stay at this lovely hotel.

  Good for an overnight stay

  Arrived late at the hotel but the owner quickly opened up and checkin was a breeze. Owner is an friendly old lady who guided me to the nearest restaurants as their own was closed for the season. The rooms are in old style, but it fits the place really well, and its spotless clean and nice. Breakfast was also as expected, normal complimentary style. Gennep city is charming and well worth a walk up and down, the town hall just opposite the hotel is really nice. Parking is free just behind the town hall, follow the road leading round the city and you cant miss it.

  I stayed 3 nights in the hotel just recently mind you this was not the first or the last visit

  The location of this hotel could not be better it is in the center of Gennep . The owner is extremely helpful and made me feel at home . The room was totally adequate. And will return when Iam in the area.
