  Ok hotel

  Ok hotel. Clean big room with terass. We stayed in room nr 314. Extrabed cost 50 euros extra. Little bit smelly. Beds are comfortable with big pillows. Bathroom big and clean. Breakfast ok but not so much choice. Mountainview but Davos itself is such an ugly place that I wouldn't say the view is anything you would like to go here for. Train passes just outside the hotel but seemed to stop in the late evening.

  Nothing special but acceptable level of quality

  Hotel Cresta has a decent location to access the ski lifts of Davos, but it cannot compete with other hotels because of a lack of ski chalet ambience. But no real complaints, just an average hotel which was not a super bargain, and you get what you pay for more or less.

  NOT YOUR BEST CHOICE, ALTHOUGH...

  Whilst everything is clean and tidy, the place could do with a revamp - as is typical for many of the Davos hotels. The Cresta Sun is located near railroad tracks and somewhat removed - not exactly within easy walking distance from shops, restaurants, bars, the train station and from cable cars and ski-lifts (especially if you are with children and/or carrying ski equipment). This said, the hotel offers a shuttle service and there is a bus stop nearby. As for amenities, parking-spaces are scarce and the pool and sauna are a bit shabby. The restaurant is well run by friendly staff and meals are okay, even though the chef is not very creative. All in all, as it stands, the place deffinitely doesn't meet 4-star quality standards and, as such, staying here is rather expensive.

  We were "upgraded" from the Cresta to the Cresta Sun property

  The room was extremely small, old furniture, desperately needs upgrading, did not feel like a 4* property. Staff could use some training, server was running in the dining room - a no go unless it's burning. At the 4* level, breakfast selection needs some fresh fruit, not pears out of a can. Plus was the location and the nice, large balcony.

  Skiing vacation

  Excellent location in Davos with an effective shuttle service to reach the slopes. The indoor pool and sauna are relaxing. Breakfast is good and Dinner is great. Very friendly personell. Well come back.
