  Old and worn down see steyn hotel

  This is the hotel known as Steyn hotel as well. It is old, worn down and unclean. ... However it is not expensive. Don't expect luxury. I had the tiniest of rooms, that was in almost deplorable state. Bed was old, small, not up to any quality standard. Windows would not open and it was quite warm. Shower was not good.. and not clean... And so on.

  Cheap place but could be better for the price

  Worn-out furniture and outdated room equipment as well as mess on a corridor made me feel a bit uncomfortable during my stay. All look like the owners are not willing to give some TLC and it's a pity. Also, there was some unpleasant smell in my room, thankfully it was summer so opened window has fixed it. And now couple of positive things, the hotel is located right next to a bus station of the buses going directly from Utrecht centraal train station so very well accessible. Check-in was smooth and breakfast very good.

  Comfortable, clean & adequate

  As mid priced 3* accommodation goes, this is a good, but slightly quirky hotel. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable and have most of the things you need. However, space is at a premium particularly in the bathroom and in one room the separate toilet. The hotel bar has been closed and the restaurant was always empty, probably serving only breakfast. This however is not a problem as the area is very served by local cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. For example, across the road is an excellent bakery / cafe with great coffee.... at a fraction of the price of the hotel breakfast. One other thing to note, is the stairs are very steep and are not easy for someone with poor mobility or eyesight. There is no lift or porter service so getting cases upstairs is a real challenge.

  Watch for bed BUGS!!!

  Small rooms, cold even in the october, no extra blankets, no soap to shower, not entirely clean with very steep stairs and no elevators. Ok breakfast, but dimmed ligths in the dining room so you can't really see what they are offering. Two from the group got bitten by bed bugs!

  Affordable Clean Hotel

  Though there is no elevator, you can still enjoy the Hotel. We celebrated the new year there in zeist and it was fantastic that the fireworks are nearby to the hotel. It is a quiet and friendly place. They provide a healthy breakfast. The room is clean and tidy. We got free wifi as well. The staff is amazing they are very helpful. I suggest this hotel especially to our Budget traveller's or back Packers.
