  Relaxing stop off

  stopped here for one night whilst riding to the Dordogne on our motorbikes. Was ideal with the off road parking. We were spoilt for choice for places to eat. The hotel is lovely and well maintained. The proprietor is very friendly. Bed very comfy had a fab nights sleep.

  OK but lacked customer service

  I arrived when it was in the low to mid 30's and the room (at the top of the hotel) was baking. No aircon. Asked for a fan. No joy there either. Shutters did a good job of keeping the sunlight out but stultifyingly warm and still. In the middle of the night had to raise the shutters and was assailed by noise from the local rowdies, so good job I had my biking earplugs. Sink didn't work properly either and I had to do some DIY plumbing to be able to let the water out. Should have been picked up at inspection. Breakfast next day was a simple and rather soulless affair. overall, probably the most disappointing hotel of my trip.

  Les Vaux

  Only being classed as a 2 star rated hotel, we were not sure what to expect. We were totally surprised. The location of the hotel to the centre of Royan , a 5 min walk, the quality of the accommodation exceeded our expectations, friendly and courteous staff. Nothing was any trouble. Truly deserve our 5 points on all accounts. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

  Superb value

  We stayed for 2 nights at the end August / beginning of September. The room was small but very clean and had everything you could want ( but no a/c). The location and free private parking were excellent. The breakfast was fine. Overall fantastic value for money at 60 euros per night for the two of us

  Great place to stay !

  The hotel is near Royan city center and the beach. You may not have a sea view but instead 2 amazing hosts. It's a small cozy place, great for couples The rooms and bedding are clean. And the beds are really comfortable. I would also really recommend to have breakfast too, nice bread, good products. They strictly respect the COVID-19 instructions ! I highly recommend for your stay in Royan
