  Bonito hotel, excelente comida

  Estuvimos alojadas en ocasion de un congreso que se realizaba en el mismo hotel. Nos parecio un hotel algo viejo, las habitaciones olian a humedad, pero en reglas generales era muy bonito y acogedor. Nuestra habitacion estaba ubicada cerca de la piscina principal y del restaurante, un lugar excelente. Teniamos un balcon propio de la habitación, con mesa y sillas para desayunar allí. Hay numerosas piscinas con agua termal que no pudimos aprovechar dado que nuestra estancia no era de placer. La comida del congreso estaba preparada por el servicio de catering del hotel y era un buffet realmente EXCELENTE. Volveria de vacaciones a ese hotel! El precio algo elevado, pero creo que era debido a que teniamos precios pactados para asistencia al congreso y si hubieramos reservado por alguno de los sistemas de reserva por Internet hubiesemos conseguido mejor precio. Internet por 24 horas costaba 25 euros!! pero por la asistencia al congreso lo teniamos en forma gratuita.

  de pelicula ....

  uno de los hoteles termales mas grandes de ischia . a pocas cuadras del centro si no t molesta caminar un poco . con parada d bus en la puerta . lujoso hotel con grandes instalaciones . un respiro en medio de pinares . piscina olimpica y varias mas .. desayunos excelentes . un cuatro estrellas facilmente cerca d un 5 . inolvidable

  Lindo hotel termal

  Muy buen hotel termal, con varias piscinas a distintas temperaturas. No probamos la comida, solamente desayuno, que estuvo bien...faltaron frutas frescas pero todo muy rico y fresco. La piscina tropical es bajo techo con muy rica temperatura. Traigan su gorra de baño porque es requisito. El centro está a unos 10 min en taxi que cuesta 10. Ischia es una isla muy linda con su propia identidad. Hay que visitarla. Enjoy!

  More bad than good!

  First of all this is NOT a 4 * hotel. It is 2 to 3 * at most. We booked a superior room half board for a week. When we saw our room which was basically under the road and reception, we asked if it was a superior room we were told no they had none left and were fully booked, no apology, borderline rude! We accepted our fate, very very basic and dated room, no tea/coffee facilities, we were told they don't do this in Italy, which is not true having been to italy before! The room was so noisy not only from the traffic rolling over our head but thd constant traffic in reception and thd walls so thin you could hear every noise from rooms either side and i mean EVERY NOISE! Our safe did not work and nor did the phone, when we reported this we got a shoulder shrug, until i insisted they fix the safe, which they did eventually. The hotel had a conference the weekend we were there so very busy. Location good which one of the stars is for, a gentle 15 min walk gets you into town. The spa was odd, very old fashioned with a row of rolms that resembled horror film rooms and very expensive 30 euros a day just to go in no treatments included. You have to wear a swimking hat to go in the pool??? They saw so ur hair does not go in the pool but seemed acceptable to spit in the pool which lots of people seemed to do??? Staff attitude is generally poor, the nicest person we met was the lovely happy lady who cleaned our room and the head waiter who greeted us warmly. Food......oh god where to start!!!! Breakfast is very basic continental, no hot food at all except uncooked scrambled egg which no.one seemed to eat, also when its gone its gone, they do not seem to refill. The dining room in the evening was like a canteen, bright stark lighting, no atmosphere and 99% of waiting staff should not be allowed near the public!! Seriously i run 2 businesses and if any of my staff had this level (zero) of customer service i would get rid of them instantly, i was actually concerned about one girl who was clearly high on something. Evening meals are hit and miss, some very odd, out of 7 nights i had one nice meal, we generally ate in the day outside of hotel and used evening meal for a snack. Salad bar was like a wrestling match, all that fuss for 5 different things on the salad table, same every night!!!! Would not return, no customer service, poor food, very out dated. I am not fussy but if i work hard all year to pay extra for a nice holiday, which we did then i ferl let down when you end up somewhere like this standatd of hotel. Ischia is beautiful though.

  Very Disappointed

  We stayed at the Hotel Continental Ischia for a week at the end of Sept. Check in was quick and easy. A member of staff lead us to our room. After going up and down several flights of stairs we arrived at room 339. It was on the 3rd (top) floor on the corner of the block. Room was nothing like the pictures on the web. It was very small, tired, dark, gloomy and depressing. Furniture was out of the ark. We could only get two English speaking channels CNN and another channel. The hotel said BBC was on the TV but we asked a member of staff to help find it but they couldn't. Air con was good. The Balcony in the bedroom was tiny with lots of foliage nearly coming into the bedroom, this also blocked any light getting into room. When we used the shower water leaked onto the floor causing a slip hazard. We thought about requesting a change but we couldn't be botherd and did not plan to be in room much. Breakfast was very basic, not much choice, you had to ask for proper orange juice and they would do you a plain omelette if you asked. Dinner was inedible, possibly the worst food I have had on holiday. The waiters worked really hard but it was like something out of faulty towers. Start by helping yourself to a very basic salad. You ordered your starter and main from your waiter and sat at the same table during your stay. Starters were fine (soup/pasta) but main courses were very strange. I tried sausage, but it was mainly gristle, fish was cold and topped with shaved raw potato I think?? Cheese on toast (cheese not melted on bread not toasted).Tough thin sliced beef in sauce with random veg on side. Stringy spinach most days. Fennel covered in cheese sauce, yuck!!. My husband will eat any thing, even he struggled to eat. After 4 meals we decided to have lunch instead of dinner. Get there at 1 sharp, don't wait politely, get your elbows in otherwise you won't get any thing. It's all gone in about 20 mins. We enjoyed the pools and had no trouble getting sun loungers, however the way the hotel is designed you end up moving around all day chasing the sun. Evening entertainment was very loud, even with our window shut it kept us awake until midnight. Then the next door neighbours would get back and put TV on. We might as well have been in the same room with them. We could hear everything, even bodily functions. They smoked on balcony and the smell crept through. We was glad to go home.
