  Could be great....

  As per other reviewers, yes, this hotel is outside 1650 and a good 20 minute walk, however there is a free shuttle (or an extortionate taxi) if you're not feeling up to the trip to/from the main village on foot. The hotel is competitively priced - probably due to the location - and the rooms/hotel were spacious, clean and with lovely views of the surrounding forest. Whilst it is away from the main 1650 area, it is only a short walk to the slopes and there is ski storage; neither of which you will learn from the hotel staff/information in the rooms! We could have saved ourselves a lot of time at the beginning/end of the first day had we known we didn't need to get to 1650 to start/end our day. There is a good selection for breakfast to set you up for a day on the slopes and/or help you recover from last night's après-ski... It is a shame that a few small things could really help make the service go from good to great: highlighting the proximity to the slopes; recommending their own ski hire/ski storage facilities (lower ground floor), rather than directing you to one in town (we had emailed a few weeks before arrival to enquire); and in addition to leaving room keys at reception for a late-arrival/check-in, they could have also advised that there is a keypad entry after-hours - if you are arriving late in the evening, definitely ask for the code!

  Quite a good service, clean ... but away from the main village.

  Good hotel. Approx. 20-25 min walk down to the main village. Free shuttle (ski) bus is available ... if not mistaken till 21:00. The hotel is clean, has good restaurant, bar, ski service and rent. One cam ski after a short walk of 500 m., as well as descent practically back to hotel. There are good restaurants near the ski station down the hill. The one in Hotel Portetta is great. Stuff is friendly and helpful. wifi is very VERY weak and works only in the lobby.

  Great location and the kids loved it.

  This was a summer visit and we liked it so much we stayed two more days. The staff very friendly, though not all of them spoke English, no problem as they always found someone to translate straight away. The kids club was included and so gave me some time to myself in the day to relax. A good interactive holiday and they are open to new ideas to make things better.

  Great reception staff

  Visited when C19 hit France and lockdown in 24 hours - staff were amazing and so sad to see their livelihood literally close overnight. Great location - support them. Free parking is unusual for the area. Only slight criticism is bout and ski lockers very small especially for a family of 4.

  1 night stay

  Was only 1 night stay here. It was normal stay with no complains, except very bad internet connection and very weak and slow wi- fi. Breackfast was in nice big window area with nice view to snow and mountains
