  Not what we have expected

  We have booked the big villa (6 rooms in 2 apartments) for a private anniversary party. The website mentioned all rooms had an inside bathroom, a thing confirmed as well by the owner on the phone. When arrived there, surprise... There were bathrooms for all rooms, but they were located on the lobby, not inside the rooms. Another "lie" regarding the facilities was "the little swimming pool", which is actually a small tube/Jacuzzi, which was mall-functioning. Continuing with the lies, we were promised by the owner to receive a cake for the friend who celebrated the anniversary. Instead, when asked for the cake, they replied..."we forgot". This has indeed ruined our party and was a big disappointment. We could have bought the cake ourselves, but they insisted they wanted to buy one for us, so we trusted their word. Again, disappointment... Ahhh...one more thing. We saw some bicycles in the yard and we asked if we could rent them. They replied only thin girls can use them, boys and heavier girls might broke them, being too heavy :-))) As a conclusion, they promise a lot, but what you get is not what you expect. Very disappointing for the price paid...

  Real paradise!!!

  Wonderful place, one of the best vacations I ever had. Excellent comfort, superb locations, extremely kind hosts. Highly recommended. The view from the terrace is breathtaking, the silence disturbed only by the small river down the forest hill and the birds make the place areal paradise.

  Luxury in the mountains

  The perfect place for a beautiful holiday in Romania. Right in the mountains, surrounded by incredible breathtaking scenery. The Villa's are incredible! Fully equipped with everything you could ever need. We even had a washing machine and tumble dryer and both were very much needed by the time we came to this part of our holiday. The latest tech in all rooms, TVs, Music center and more, even massage chairs. The shower is the best shower i have ever seen! I was so impressed by everything but most of all how welcoming our hosts were. It was like our own home for the 5 days we were there. They made us feel so at home and were helpful with everything. The breakfast was amazing and there was so much of it. We will definitely go back here again next time we visit Brasov County. Which is beautiful by the way. We stayed in May and were the only guests for those days which was great for us.

  A dream place

  I have chosen that place to propose to my girlfriend, the staff is really kind and they helped me a lot to organize everything and they made it perfect. The place is very beautifull, surrounded by trees and mountains, it is a nice place to rest, with all the comodities and an excelent food but the best part is the people that own the hotel, they are very nice and they really make you feel like home, they are a family and they almost make you believe that you are part of that family. Nice persons and nice place that makes from Club Austria a dream place to stay and to enjoy.

  not a 5 star hotel, disappointing service

  I've used Club Austria on a short trip to Romania last summer. Based on reviews & hotel description, I expected the best. The location is a bit remote, indeed by the forest, but you need to drive on a dirt road to get there. There was no one at reception when we arrived .. we had to look for the owners around the property to check in (this is a small, family-run business). The villa we stayed in was decent and relatively comfortable .. although, there was summer, and we got some flies & bees inside. The breakfast included in the price is just a few items bought from the local market delivered to your door in a supermarket bag; it is not something prepared & served hotel-style. There's no swimming pool. Once you receive the keys, you've pretty much on your own. If you need something, the owner makes no effort whatsoever to help. We asked for a hose to wash the car, but were told there was none, although there was one in the garden. I wish the owners the best, but I will not be staying at this property again mostly for lack of hospitality; proper care of the guest.
