  Precioso hotel!

  Nos hemos quedado dos veces y el servicio es muy bueno, el hotel es precioso, las habitaciones amplias y confortables, el desayuno lo sirven en su pequeño y lindo jardín! 100% limpio, ordenado y cerca de todo!

  Nice Hotel - Good place to stay

  I stayed two nights in this hotel. It was clean, comfortable, renovated recently but still has old Spanish architecture charm to this hotel. There's a small garden in the middle and my room was facing the garden. My room #4 was in quite place, was able to sleep well at night. Just only issue in room was humid and smell of moisture since room was locked up and not smell not aired out. The walls of room are porous and brings in quite a bit of humidity. I tried to aired out the room and it make it little better but there's no screen on windows so I was afraid I'll get insects in my room. Bathrooms & bedroom were nice and up to at least 3 stars American Standard hotel. The only other down side is that there's no safe in the hotel but that's normal in Antigua/GUA for hotel in this price range.

  Brilliant hotel with incredible staff!

  This hotel has been an absolute gem amongst other hotels I've stayed in here in Guatemala. I have been traveling for three weeks and I couldn't be happier to end my trip with Hotel Ciudad Condal. Admittedly, I've stayed in a variety of places - hostels, guest houses, B&B's, and hotels ranging in price from $15/night to $90/night to what I am spending here which was around $100/night at the time of booking. I travel extensively with work and stay in Starwood and Four Season properties when I do. This felt very similar in comfort with a far less stuffy atmosphere. The beds and sheets match that of the "Heavenly" brand boasted at The Westin properties. The sheets were incredibly soft and clean, the mattresses were like none other I slept on in my travels in Guatemala, the brick ceiling is absolutely stunning and is a lovely way to wake up in the morning. Even the acoustics as a result of the design in the room make me feel like I'm waking in Mayan temple or amphitheatre. Francisco and staff were incredibly helpful. The only issue I had was discovering that there is no wifi in the rooms. I was frustrated after a long day of travel and not much sleep from the previous night. He took the time to patiently explain to me the structural quality of the hotel and that as a result of being well-maintained stone and brick walls, wifi could not reach most of the rooms. With that being said, I haven't seen a faster connection for internet since arriving. What IS available in common areas is extremely fast and reliable and rivals that of my 100Mbs connection in Canada. I was finally able to upload 6 HDR photos per minute to DropBox. Every other hotel and restaurant wifi would maybe do 10-15 photos per hour. Not having wifi in the rooms is a very small inconvenience and this hotel is worth the value for the internet connection alone. I was out late saying goodbye to friends and the night doorman was nothing but pleasant and helpful. He remains at the front desk all night. There is no wait whatsoever to gain entry to the hotel after-hours. This is not a hotel where after-hours guests are stumbling home drunk. Exceptionally quiet and respectful guests. Especially considering the structural integrity of all the rooms. I didn't open my eyes until 9am this morning which is another treat. I have been exhausted due to thin walls and loud chatter in every other hotel I've stayed in. You are guaranteed a good night's rest in the utmost quality and comfort here at Hotel Ciudad Condal. Francisco and staff - thank you so much for your hospitality, patience, and attention to detail. What a way to finish an already amazing three weeks in Guatemala! When I return, I will be staying here. A steal for what I paid!

  Excelente sitio!!

  Después de un largo viaje llegamos a Antigua y como no teniamos nada reservado nos quedamos en el primer sitio que encontramos porque ya era tarde en la noche y estábamos muy cansados pero no fue una buena elección. Así que al otro día en la mañana buscamos otro lugar para hospedarnos y tuvimos la suerte maravillosa de encontrar a Ciudad Condal por un precio muy justo!. En Antigua hay sitios por el mismo precio y hasta más caros que no ofrecen remotamente lo mismo!!. Sus habitaciones son amplias y confortables, con una decoración muy bonita. La cama es grande y muyyy cómoda. Están impecables de limpias sus sábanas así como sus toallas. Todos los componentes necesarios para asegurarte un buen descanso!! Además en la mañana te incluyen un delicioso desayuno. El personal del hotel es muy amable y atento. Así que si vienes a Antigua no dudes en alojarte en este hotel. Mi familia y yo lo recomendamos al 100%.

  Nice place but staff leave a lot to be desired

  the location was great, just a few blocks away from the main square and the place itself is very pretty. But the reception were neither helpful nor friendly. First they tried to overcharge us for the room as soon as we arrived, then they sent our tour bus away in the morning when I had specifically been down 15 minutes earlier to tell them that we were expecting a tour bus!
