  Comfortable stay

  Very centrally located. A better option than Sheraton or Hilton. Better service, good rooms, helpful staff at lesser cost then the two. Food is also good considering other available option however can be improved. Still a better option.

  One night lay over

  Was in Abuja for a night with my husband and 3 kids on an official assignment. We got 2 adjoining rooms at Chelsea and the first room was okay but when I entered the 2nd room, the bathroom was flooded. Housekeeping was prompt but after they left, the problem returned. Since we had an early morning flight to catch we decided to manage it. Apart from the problem with the bathroom, it was a nice stay.

  A charming place to stay

  The Chelsea Wusa 2 is a charming hotel. Although it lacks some of the facilities found at the nearby Transcorp Hilton (I'm thinking swimming pool, shopping and banking), it has a relaxed non-corporate feel that makes it, in my opinion, a first rate, reasonably priced hotel. The staff could not be more charming or helpful. The rooms are well proportioned with good air-con and a 24hr electricity supply (quite important in Abuja as the national grid seems to go down fairly frequently). The traditional breakfast was also excellent. Bottom line; If you want a bland world weary hotel go to the Hilton and pay well over the odds for fairly average room, food and drink. If you want a comfortable, chilled hotel with staff that make you feel special, then come here (... and, if you really want, pay the £12 to swim/eat at the Hilton).

  thoroughly reasonable alternative to the overpriced Transcorp Hilton

  clean room, decent decor, decent water pressure in shower, working A/c and friendly staff are not things one takes for granted in Nigeria, even in Abuja. The restaurant was only adequate - though the bar was small and friendly and had excellent meat pies! front of house staff were unfailingly cheerful.

  Beautiful Hotel but Significant upgrade required to bring it to shine more and become very attractive

  Let me speak to the good things: Comfortable bed, working water heater , provision for tea and coffee in room, lighting, breakfast not too bad. Now to the downsides: Air-conditioners in the rooms are window units and noisy. They should hv been split units or central, the bathroom area need to be overhauled, re-modeled etc,few number of hotel staff to attend to needs,
