Awful placeLast minute stay so I can't really complain but I will anyway. Place must have been bought by econo lodge. It was run down, ill-maintained. The room's lock looked like there was an attempted break-in. The toilet was broken. The sink leaked into a trash can they stuck underneath it. Gave us zero towels to use. The sheets looked dirty and felt gritty. Was told there's "free parking", well there's like 8 spots so good luck getting one. Did not want to spend any time in that place. Will spend the extra money to stay in a nicer place next time.

The absolute worst!! Dirty, unsanitary and extremely unprofessionalDisgusting, Turn and run! Bugs in the beds, AC got our room to 90 in 10 minutes, bugs came up from the drain after 30 minutes in the room, god aweful smell, no sign on the building (shady). They are not professional, no towels. Only 2 pillows for 4 of us, nobody at check infor over 30 minutes, 2 different addresses in confirmation... the list goes on I just don't care enough about these people to continue. Tarrique (the manager/concierge/bellboy/janitor/..) completely incompetent), has absolutely no idea what he is doing. Tried charging me for extra pet charge when my reservation clearly said no pet fee. Room dirty, when I say turn and run, I mean it!!! Disgusting!!! Tourist trap!

Great customer serviceThe rooms, while a bit of an eyesore with their mismatched furnishings, feature comfortable beds and a shower with hot water and decent pressure. The beach is a short walk away. Tareq, the front desk manager, went out of his way to make our stay comfortable by fetching us extra towels and retrieving my sister's pillow that she left behind after check out. This is a great option for a group of young friends on a budget.

STAY FAR AWAY!Upon check-in, the night manager, Tariq, handed me 3 towels for 5 people. It was raining and late and we just wanted to go eat after a long, traffic filled ride in. The room, room 5, was dirty beyond anything I've seen. The floors covered in dirt and sand. The sheets were stained and covered in dirt and what felt like sand. The pull out sofa was full of sand, which we wiped off, but there was no sheets for the pull out so I had to go down to the desk at midnight for sheets. I plugged something in and 2 lights went out. We called Tariq and he came and fixed it. I tried finding different accommodations for the next evening and every motel was booked completely for the weekend, otherwise I would have left. In the morning, after a horrible night's sleep on a very uncomfortable mattress, I went down to the front desk and spoke with Cassandra, the manager. When I told her I had to wear shoes to walk in the room because the floor was dirty, her response to me was "I wouldn't walk barefoot at any motel at the jersey shore. They're all like that and I've seen worse." I've been coming to the jersey shore for 20+ years and have always been able to walk around barefoot in any motel room up and down the shore from Wildwood to Sandy Hook. 3 weeks ago, I stayed at a lovely motel in Wildwood that allows pets and the place was spotless and cheaper. I asked if there was another room we could move to, she told me everything was booked. Then I asked if I could get a discount to which she told me, you have to call booking.com and they will call us for the discount. Because there was no other room available, she offered to have the maid come and clean the room (which apparently isn't a daily thing?) so I said yes please, thank you, and change the sheets. I walked out of the office and called booking.com and explained the situation. The nice girl on the phone left me on hold while she called Cassandra. When she came back she said, Cassandra told her there would be no discount and if I cancelled with booking.com and paid them direct, it would be MORE money. Cassandra also told them she offered me a different room... that never happened. I walked back into the front office and spoke to Cassandra who now changed her story about a discount and said that she wasn't giving me a discount, booking.com would have to do that, which is not what she said the first time. When I asked about the different room, she said "well we have to do it right now", to which I said that would be fine. She then told me "it's the same room you're in, just a different floor". I asked if I could look at it before moving all my stuff. She gave me a key to room 10. I walked up to the 3rd floor and the key didn't work. At this point, I'm not wasting part of the 1 day I have at the beach; friends were waiting for us and we needed to get ready, I called her to let her know the key wasn't working and to please send the maid. She took note that room 10's door lock doesn't work and I went about my day. I left my room at 8:30am with the promise that the "best" housekeeper was coming to clean our room, change the sheets, and bring new towels. I returned at 7pm to my room looking exactly the way I left it. I went down to the front desk, Tariq was there again, to ask what happened and was told someone came to clean it. I said "come look at it" which Tariq did and while he walked over, he called someone on the phone asking if Juan and someone else came to clean our room cause they told him they had. When I spoke to Cassandra, she said a woman, the head housekeeper, was coming to clean my room. Tariq offered to change the sheets himself and sweep the floor while we were out for dinner. He did so and when I returned, the floor was mildly better than before and the sheets were at least stainless but still gritty feeling, like there was sand in the bed. When I left Sunday morning, I returned my key and thanked Tariq for coming to clean our room, that's not his job and at least he tried. It's also not his fault that the property he works for is obviously poorly managed. I plan on writing to corporate, Choice Hotels International to let them know the condition of this property.

False AdvertisingI'm writing a separate review because we were moved to Econolodge per our request. The website for this hotel says it has all suites, free breakfast, and is adjacent to Econolodge. It is actually a separate building. The room was not a suite-it had 2 beds and a sofa in one room, with a refrigerator. When I told the person at the front desk at checkout he seemed surprised the website said they are all suites because only some are. My husband went at 8am and all there was for breakfast was white bread in a container and coffee. Again at 9 there was only the bread and coffee (which was a new pot). So I don't know why they would say it's an adjacent all suites motel with breakfast when none of that is true. I wasn't comfortable staying in a separate building and asked to be moved to Econolodge, which is supposedly an upgrade...I've reviewed it separately. Photos are of Sea Breeze.
