Really, really loud in the eveningsJust be aware that the rooms open on to a central outdoor lounge area where they play loud music and host often raucous groups until late in the evening. When I called to complain they told me not too worry as it 'only' goes until 11pm. They also provide earplugs in the room. I guess many commenters note this but I had not seen it. Buyer beware, though. We found the level of noise fairly shocking.

UnderwhelmedThe two stars are for the location; in the heart of the charming Claremont Village and a lovely mile walk to the 5Cs. But its the only hotel in downtown Claremont. Some competition other than the Hilton located just outside of town is needed. Rooms are noisy with open courtyard bar noise (ear plugs in room are a clue), super odd configurations with bathtubs in main room and only a sheer curtain for privacy, curtains in our room were falling down and broken, no bathroom amenities other than soap and hairdryer, room carpet was spotted and dirty, WiFi connection was worthless (called front desk and they admitted WiFi not great in the bldg and even worse if carrier is Verizon for some reason), no written guide for TV channels so you are surfing forever to find desired channel and the remote guide button did not work either, furniture worn and chipped. Casa 425 is expensive and it fell really short of delivering a welcome stay. However it is truly the only hotel in downtown Claremont.

Attorney stays during a trialVery close to the Pomona courthouse and in a great location to walk around Claremont, the colleges, and the Village area. It fit the bill, and the front desk folks are friendly and helpful. Also, the breakfast and bar area fits what you need on a business trip.

one night staystayed 2/13/21 for a one night stay for Valentines day. We live locally and wanted to stay close to home but have a getaway just the two of us. Room: This place had its own unique layout. email was sent for easy check in process and walked in and everything was ready to go. i got the romantic package and it was ready when we walked in to room. bottle of champagne, tealights and rose petals (fake) made a heart shape on the bed with some chocolates waited for us. Courtyard & lounge: looked fun with seating and couches with fire pits. at first it was loud but they close early and when we came back from dinner it was very quiet. parking is across the street from a parking structure for all of the businesses. they give you a paper for your car so you will not be towed. food: so many choices. we had Crepes at Crepeas de Paris for lunch and dinner at the Whisper house. This place is in the downtown. during the day many shops and restaurants and the metro link station is a 5 minute walk. Due to Covid, many places offered dinner outside on patios but it was cold. many places closed early as well.

Not worth the price but location is greatI stayed here the last weekend in October 2019 to visit my daughter at Claremont McKenna College. I normally stay at the Doubletree which is great but thought I would try this property. I was very disappointed and underwhelmed. The room was sparse and everything was run down or worn out. The carpet was stained. The wood trim around the closet was literally worn and chipped. The faucet to the sink was broken and wobbling. The furniture and lamps were from IKEA. See my photo of the IKEA brand on the lamps. When I stay at a property branded as a boutique hotel, generally I expect luxury, not IKEA. The noise at night from the music (and I use that term in the nicest way possible) was incredibly loud. No reason for that sound level as it might have actually sounded better if it were not ear-splitting. The service is o.k. but at no time did anyone smile or say hello other than the nice women cleaning the rooms. The bright spots are the location and the comfort of the Tempu-pedic beds. That is it.
