Clean and friendlyThis small hotel in a remote little village offers small, clean rooms. There is no lift to first floor, so we had to carry our luggage ourselves. The restaurant is ok, not so the breakfast room with its garden furniture. The breakfast s good and he stuff is friendly. Prices are moderate, but it is far away from everything.

Excellent. Friendly and comfyThe Carmina am See is a little road hotel in rural East Germany by the side of a tiny pond in Karnin. The staff is quite professional and friendly with a very nice way of running this place. Meals are plenty, and simple but well cooked. Breakfast good. Recommended if you are travelling these parts. Absolutelly :)

A great surprise thanks to the hotel staffWe got to Carmina after a long day of cycling: we were a group of 16 people with a very bad experience of local hotels staff's roughness in our previous stops on our way from Lubeck (the night before, at InterCityHotel - Rostock, for example, the waiter refused to give us any bread at dinner despite our offer to pay for it, with no further explanations). It's easy to imagine how we felt when the cook himself came out personally to welcome us. Dinner was fantastic: not only very rich but also served in a very professional way. This is a real family-run jewel, where everybody in the staff seems to be there to please you, which can turn out to be very suprising for a family-run businness. This is the only hotel I would stronlgy suggest in all the 300km we covered by bike from Lubeck to Stralsund.

Excellent!Loved this hotel! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We were given welcome drinks upon arrival, and the hostess showed us to our room personally. The room was very clean and had a nice view of the water. The breakfast was excellent as well.

Very nice placeStopped overnight en-route home. Staff spoke good English and made us feel welcome. Check-in was quick, easy and included welcoming drinks which was a nice touch. Rooms were nice and clean with plenty of space for our overnight bags. Having a little time to kill we were given the tip if going into the city of Barth which we did. Barth offered a nice walk through the old city and harbour. We decided to eat at the hotel restaurant which we did not regret, food was excellent and so was service. Seated on the patio overlooking the lake was very nice. We went for the chefs choice menu and were given a great selection of local cuisine, even the flowers used for decoration were edible. Breakfast in the morning was very good with a large selection of breads, local cold cuts and different cheeses. Warm dishes were also available and boiled eggs were kept warm under small knitted hats and had faces drawn on them :-) cute! We recommend this place for a good nights sleep and excellent food in a very friendly atmosphere.
