  Lovely setting and very quiet

  The 3* Hotel Cardedu is set with a lovely backdrop of mountains about 2km from the beach. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, built in a u shape around a grassy area. The breakfast is buffet style and has a good choice of meats, cheese, croissants, cereal, cake and fruit. The waitress who served us during our stay was charming and very helpful as was the owner. We ate at the restaurant three times and there was a fairly wide choice on the menu. I would like to have seen more meat pasta dishes as they were mostly fish. The three meals were paid for as part of the whole bill and worked out at £60 for two, per meal, which I thought was expensive for the menu. On the whole though we were very pleased with our choice, the only downside being that you couldn't walk to any restaurants.

  surrounded by mountains but few minutes away from the beach

  Nice Hotel in a peaceful location, surrounded by mountains but only 5 minutes away from a great beach. The rooms are easily accessed with a push chair, they are specious and well equipped. The pool was great, they also have a lovely play park.. We booked few nights on half board and the food was really good, they offer a good selection of daily menu but they also try to accomodate you if you have special requirements. We would definitely reccomend it for families with children.

  relaxed very quite setting

  My wife and I and children (11 and 9) stayed here for 2 weeks in August. We had a family room which was one room with 1 double bed and 2 singles and separate bathroom. As we're English, we struggled at time to communicate, so a little Italian goes a long way. The rooms were basic but cleaned daily and the towels replaced. The pool is very good and great for children. We were on a bed and breakfast basis so can't comment on the evening food quality, but a French couple remarked that the food was good. The breakfast was good - bread, cold hams, cheese, fruit, yoghuts, cakes etc, so we always had a good choice. The location is a bit from the coast and away from Cardedu, so a car is essential. We did do the walk to the beach a couple of times, but it's a good 2km or so on a road with no footpath. Overall I'd stay and well run, good quite hotel with a 3 star justification. NB we were the only English family there, but we did meet some great Italian and French families and German Couples.

  Average but very acceptable

  The hotel Cardedu is a family style hotel close to the beach. Simple but adequate rooms, friendly staff, reasonable breakfast and average restaurant for the evenings. Nice swimming pool and easy access to the large and relaxed Cardedu beaches.

  Perfect place

  This no-frills family run hotel is a little gem in the wildest and less touristic area of sardinia, the region of Oglistra. Strategically located in Cardedu (a valley pointed with wineries) it is a few mins away from at least 10 beautiful beaches. In 25/35 min by car you can reach beautiful mountains, caves and woods. It has a very nice pool just meters away from its spacious rooms. Parking is included. Day by day you can pick up your type of service (b&b or half board) which is very convenient in an area full of nice restaurants. Hotel's breakfast is rich qnd abundant. In the morning - if you want to pay less - you have to order your food for the night, if you don't want half board, restaurant is open "a la carte". Its cuisine is home made and local. Considering the avarage price and level pf service, this place is a great bargain. My favourite in the entire island!
