  Wonderful place

  We loved this hotel. We spent a week there in July 2019, and the facilities are great. Very nice and very warm pool with a beautiful view over the ocean, and nicely kept. Very nice a la carte restaurant for lunch and dinner, with the same stunning view over the ocean and the sunset. Good food at reasonable prices. The cleaning was spotless, and the staff were all very nice, friendly and serviceminded (restaurant, reception, bar, cleaning). The breakfast buffet was okay, but not impressive, and it took quite long for empty containers to be filled again, but at the price it was very okay (8 Euro/person). Our 4 person room was small, but very well situated at the ground floor, with easy access to the pool area. It is easy to go down to the wonderful Citara beach and the snack bars, beach bars, restaurants and mini market there. Also the public bus system is easy to use and very close to the hotel. With the kids a trip to the castle on the east coast is very worthwhile. The ferry from Napoli stops in both Ischia Port and Forio. Forio is very much closer to this hotel, only 10 minutes in a taxi. Observe that many places only take cash, and the nearest ATM is in Forio.

  Hotel Capizzo - a little bit of paradise

  we stayed as a family of four at the Hotel Capizzo (run wonderfully and so helpfully by Vincenzo and his superb team) for a fantastic week. The sea is within easy walking distance, as are a good number of excellent restaurants and the 'must-visit' Poseidon Gardens Spa baths! Forio is only 20 mins walk. We had the best time!

  Hotel Capizzo

  I must say the staff at the hotel are the best, very friendly and Knowledgeable about the local area. The room are great with the most lovely views loooking out to the sea, we had a ground floor apartment with small terrace garden. Breakfast - continental suited us just fine Location - Excellent just far away from the main beach to walk 10 min walk turn left out of the hotel and follow the road down. Staff - Excellent and very helpful - thanks Vihechzo and all his staff View - Excellent Rooms - Good but Pool - Heated natural thermal Atmosphere - Chilled and relax. I must say we went out of season in September 2019 and there were hardly any guests so some days we had the pool to our self. Food - We only ate Lunch from the bar menu it was really good. Transport - If you arrive by Ferry from Ischia then the taxi charges change quite frequently - please negotiate upfront and secure the price . Forio to Hotel should be no more than 20/25 Euro (First day get the taxi and then the bus to see the Island) Get the he bus to see the Island the bus route ( Will be busy so be prepared for mixing with the locals - go for the equivalent of the travel card - please remember to clock in using the yellow machine as they do have inspectors. Price for the day 4/5 Euros. The bus stop is at the top of the road and goes either way around the Island. Tips:- You need a swim hat, we found this to be the case for all of Italy so if you have one just take if not just 2 euro from receptio. Take the bus saves using the taxis all the time as the costs soon mount up. Enjoy relax and soak up the sun. Thanks

  Perfect Retreat

  Nothing but praise for the quietly friendly, professional, informative and helpful staff. a lovely welcome from Vincenzo. The hotel is perfectly clean. It is quiet. And the rooms with balcony have great views of the pool and the sea, especially at sunset time which can be spectacular. We did not eat lunch but evening food was always very good. Breakfast has plenty of choice including squeeze your own orange juice. I very much hope to return.

  Lovely hotel Capizzo, Ischia

  We Loved this hotel. Staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, very clean, quiet, really good pool, breakfast good and attached restaurant excellent. Would definitely visit again. Sea view from balcony.
