Good family mealGood family meal here while staying next door at premiere classe. Simple menu but good food with options for all the family (burgers and tartiflette). From previous experience, reserved in advance as gets busy as hotel fills up in the evening as people come in off the motorway.

Good budget hotel.Very pleasant hotel, easy to find with ample free parking. We chose this hotel as it was on our route from Champagne to Annecy in the Alps. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable, and it is very quiet. There is a restaurant onsite serving good value food.

An enjoyable stayWe chose this Campanille on our way down to the ski slopes in order to break the journey. We booked through lastminute.com. The Campanille is not the easiest to find. We were met with a bi-lingual lady who was formal, but helpful. The room was clean, though we regret the reduction in soaps, shower caps and limited tea & coffee making facilities however, the bed was very comfortable. We took breakfast the following morning and was filling and enjoyable.

The only good thing about it is it's locationThis is not a hotel; it is a motel and one of the shabbiest ones we have ever stayed in in Europe. The woodwork around the door frames, skirting boards etc is unbelievable scruffy, damaged, dented horrible. Parts of the mastic around the shower had black mould on it, and that is true of both rooms we had. Why 2? The first room we were given the sheets (which were freshly laundered) had what looked like dried blood on them, you could scrap some of it off with your finger nail. The room also smelt damp. So, we asked for a second room. The furniture in the room was in ok condition. A kettle was provided on a try, but no coffee or tea with it. If the kettle was removed it would have looked less mean. No fridge. The very small room had AC which we did not need. The restaurant was closed, and looked as if it had been for some time. If we had known that we would not have booked. Why not say so on the web site? A few dishes in a class bowl, which were microwaved were available. Internet was not available when we arrived, but had been fixed by the morning. Breakfast was basic, but ok. Coffee was good from the machine, and I do love fresh French bread. The location is great for those travelling thru France. We found it Covid secure. The lady on reception was very good indeed. She did her utmost to sort out our complaints, she cared. She also worked very hard also serving the microwave food in the restaurant. Without her it would have been 1 star. Would not come again.
