  One overnight stop

  Met our expectations based on many previous stays in Campanile hotels in full. The only slight difficultly that we had was finding the hotel. If there was a sign on the approach road, then we missed it and went sailing past well into Taissy.

  Bonjour, sorry but I have to complete this email in English as my French is not good enough, pardonnez-moi. We were due to stay at your hotel on the night of thursday 26th september, see above confirmation for our booking details. We had enjoyed almost 3 weeks travelling around France navigating with no problems at all. During which we included stays at the campaniles in Beaune and Annecy amongst other places. Our trip up to you from Beaune on the thursday 26th september became problematic once I examined the enclosed map which was sent within the confirmation email I received from campanile. See attached for info. The problem became clear when I cross checked it with my Michelin Road Atlas and Google Maps. You may notice references to the A4 autoroute which is shown clearly and within the text. Unfortunately you will also realise that the A4 autoroute does not pass as shown through Reims but is a circular autoroute. What is shown is in fact the A34 autoroute. My initial instinct was to ignore your directions and follow my own, but sadly I chose to go with your directions instead. This error led to us missing the junction and spending approximately 2 hours going through and around Reims between 2100 and 2300 hrs during which we accidentally found the campanile Reims Sud Murigny. The staff there were extremely sympathetic and give me directions which we tried our best to follow. At about 2300 we were confused, exhausted and agreed to admit defeat and head home to England, albeit that meant travelling through the night. I realise this is not down to you but feel most strongly that your organisation at the very least need to correct the error on the map you enclose and the accompanying directions to remove reference to the A4 and show the A34 instead. I am probably nor the first nor will be the last potential customer to be deterred by this unpleasant experience. We have often used campanile hotels and will possibly continue to despite this experience. All the staff we encountered were most pleasant and helpful. So could you please pass on this request to correct the error to who ever needs to action it. Many thanks PS since returning home I have discovered similar experiences with friends who use satnav systems when travelling around Reims.

  Hotel normal, buen precio

  Esta situado en un poligono industrial a las afueras de Reims. El centro de Reims esta a 5minutos en coche. Hotel limpio y normalito, sin mucho lujo. El desayuno esta bueno. Hay parking para dejar el coche gratis.

  Expected an evening meal and air con

  Always had a good experience with Campaniles. But after a long journey all I wanted was a beer a nice meal and a comfortable nights sleep. I was disappointed to find the bar and restaurant closed on a Saturday night. No reason given. Covid not a valid reason as restaurants around were open but it meant a drive. It was very hot and there was no air con in the room which made for an uncomfortable night's sleep

  Covid-19 proof, well thought out, but spoiled by waterlogged room...

  Hotel was clean and well prepared for the coronavirus, but the stay was spoiled by a flooded carpet by the bathroom which must have been known by the management as both the sink and shower had drainage problems. Check your room before staying!
