Reasonable good hotel, let down by a number of annoying inconveniences. The hotel was recently renovated (as of July 2013), but in a purely cosmetic way only. There are new tiles in the bathroom, but the sink, shower and toilet were old, and in the case of the toilet, not even bolted to the floor. The room itself was of an adequate size for two adults and two children. The beds, unfortunately, were very uncomfortable, which is typical for many Polish three star hotels. The only other problems were that the power went off a few times and the lift was out of action for three out of the eight days we were there. On the plus side: the breakfasts were okay, the lunches very substantial, and the suppers a re-run of breakfast with some innovative recycling of the lunch menu. The indoor pool was a decent size and spotlessly clean, and the massage/spa was well run with smiling, friendly staff. The location of the hotel was in a quiet area, away from the worst of the tourist traps one kilometre down the road, and the beach was a pleasant half kilometre walk along a semi - paved walkway. Seven nights/eight days full board with two spa treatments a day and full access to the pool, cost us 4,000z (about £850).

Bursztyn is more than OKQuite new hotel close to the village and to the public beach. Rerasonable size clean room for two with sufficient service. Somewhat too hard beds for my taste. Small but sufficient bathroom. Good space for meals. Very good breakfast.

Our Wedding/HoneymoonWe've had our Wedding in this peaceful, welcome place. My dream came true! I was overwhelmed by quality of food and service( 6 lb more but who cares on holidays) Exceptional home feeling. There's more then in the advertising. Accessible swimming pool with jacuzzi that we've visited everyday, sauna & steam room was my absolutely favourite, spa treatment was awesome!10minutes walk through woodland to the sandy beaches The best hospitality ever! This is the place you want to be Perfect Holiday destination

Cozy cottageWe visited Bursztyn in March - decided to spend Easter there and we don't regret it. Since we traveled with a dog we rented a cottage. The cottage was described as able to accomodate 4 people. In my opinion, it is good for 2 people, plus maybe 1 child. If you go in a group of four, choose the bigger cottage that can accomodate 6 people. It'll be more comfy. The cottage was well heated and had basic crockery, cutlery and an ellectric kettle. With regards to the food - OMG, it was delicious, esp. the traditional Polish food that is prepared for the Easter time. There was plenty to choose from. There's a swimming pool, a sauna, a gym (rather basic) in the hotel building. Outside you've got a place to play volleball etc. The beach is a 15-minute walk away so is the village where you can find a supermarket. There's a bar at the hotel as well and the prices are very friendly. :-) The staff in all areas were real nice and helpful.

Quite ok, but still lot to improveWe have spent a family weekend in the one of the bungalows. It was quite nice, two levels with a spacious bedroom upstairs. However the bungalow lacks air-condition and it was quite hot. The biggest disadvantage was that the hotel does not offer any type of dinner restaurant, unless you prebook a half board meals. We were little late so no meals were offered. In the surroundings there was no any restaurant, so we ended just with some snacks, bought earlier. This is not acceptable for such place. The breakfast was very limited and when we asked for some kind of omelette or fresh eggs made in the kitchen, the staff somehow quite rood told us it is not possible due to the wedding party to be held in the evening. So we were treated like a last priority clients, which was very disappointing. The facilities in the hotel building were quite satisfactory, but the level of service was not what we expected. Probably there are better places to stay in the town, so I will recommend also to look elsewhere.
