  Enjoy the old scenery!

  We booked 2 nights here with our little girl and it´s a romantic Castle Hotel where you can taste the old atmosphere. Wish I could travel in time a bit... Breakfast was well prepared and also dinner was wonderful. Good service and clean rooms. In the Suite I missed some hangers in the Bathroom for our towels or Bathrobes.

  Romantic small old castle with good view

  A long time ago I have visited this castle but there are a lot of postive changes. The castle is small but enough free parking places nearby. The rooms are in romantic style with old touch. The wifi is well also inside thick walls. The restaurant is very old and romantic a really eyecatcher with knights. The menue is small, the dishes well and not old traditional.Good drinks in wide selection. The staff from reception until the restaurant always friendly and helpful.

  Unique Business trip at a castle hotel

  I stayed at this hotel while visiting a customer in Loller. The hotel is located just 10 min taxi ride from the local train station and about 1 hour from Frankfurt hbf. The hotel has many small cute and romantic rooms that look like from a fairytale :) my room was quite spacious with good heating system and strong WiFi. Shower worked great with no special issues. Breakfast was wonderful - wide selection of cheese, ham and veggies. Nice lady kept refilling the dishes and changing the bottles. Dinner at the düngen was very good - small selection but very good quality of the food. I dined there every night and it was so good on my last night around I even dragged my customer to join me. I liked the atmosphere after a long day at the office, the classic music, the relaxing vibe and the tasty food. The hotel is full of antique photos, knights and bronze sculptures, really like in the old days and I bet its not so far from how it used to look like! One con - The room toiletries (such as body lotion) were used previously and not new ones, then once they were finished (since I ran out of my own lotion) they havent been replaced again.

  Fantastic views, beautiful relaxing place.

  I have been to the castle ruins that are behind the hotel many times exploring and spending the afternoon. The hotel itself is very nice. Great location, to get out and walk around the town. See the old city gate, find a nice little bier garden and enjoy a bite and a brew. The history of the Schloss is very interesting, and there are many wonderful little towns around to explore along with the city of Giessen. So it may seem off of the beaten path, but I would say take a little time and go see the town, see the Schloss, and maybe spend a few nights here and enjoy the great food, fun, and people of the area.

  Everything in perfect balance

  Charming stay in a slightly outdated castle but price and quality make up for it. We felt safe because of the overall respect of Covid-rules. Location, warm welcome, efficient service, good food, pristine bathroom... and the whole package to a very decent price. Furthermore, the nearby city of Marburg is a historic jewel. We warmly recommend this hotel and its surroundings.
