Clean and tidyI stayed for three nights this past long weekend and found it to be clean and well presented. The staff were friendly and spoke English to me. The location is conveniently close to Saitama Shintoshin station and you can walk above street level on a raised board walk to directly access the station. If I had a complaint, it would be that the bed (a double) was too short. I am 193cm and my feet stuck out of the bed.

Boutique hotel feelSmall personal boutique hotel. Pleasant walk to Railway station Choice of Japanese or Western breakfast tray alternate days but can have either both days No long queues for breakfast was nice Breakfast room is lovely and bright with pleasant waterfall outlook Only pity was that was no early check in allowed without extra payment even though booking was for 5 nights. This was unreasonable for one of our party after long flight Room was hot and hard to get temperature regulated.

"Wedding hotel" that is not bad for a business stay.I had a two night mid-week stay here as part of a recent business trip and found this property to be not too bad a choice, but nothing exceptional. This is an example of a mid 90s bubble era hotel trend where they built them catering primarily to weddings. So 4 floors are dedicated to a chapel and banquet rooms and the hotel rooms start on the 7th. Several of the rooms on the 7th were dedicated as changing rooms, etc. for the wedding parties. The down side of this type of property is most of them still have the original interiors (this includes the short beds mentioned in other reviews) and are not doing well enough to undertake the renovation they need to update them and the Brilliante looks to fall in this group. The good thing was the hotel was pretty empty and very quiet midweek even with being in the middle of the government center. Plus it was very quiet even with a hospital nearby and I did not hear any sirens while in the room. The rooms were clean and well kept and on the larger side for a double room in a Japanese hotel. Bathrooms were really showing their age, but functional. Staff was very nice even with us arriving at midnight and no issues with language even at that hour. Breakfast was not bad, but the same two choices every day. There is a small mall in-between the hotel and the train station that had a nice food court area if you are looking for more choices and a drug store, and a Yodobashi Camera is on the other side of the station. (They have the best pricing of the electronic stores). Tip for accessing, signs pointing the way right at the station are scarce but start showing up as you near the food court/mall. When leaving the station, go to the left toward the Hotel Metropolitan (just opened Oct 1st) towards the food court. Once you get in that area, head to the left towards the hospital and the hotel is just past the hospital. Its an easy walk and mostly covered if it is raining.

Very Good Clean HotelThis is a new clean hotel but the location is not very convenient. We had to use taxi to move to even Ohmiya, popular town nearby. It was also very hard to find this hotel among high-rise buildings in ShinToshin town.
