  Warm guesthouse

  I think this hotel was more like a guest house. Cause when i entered inside this hotel, it felt like coming home. The place was warm, homey, quiet, and clean. The only thing that i felt uncomfortable was the size of breakfast room. I wonder why they put us in that little room, while they have a 'normal' room for guests to have breakfast. But the food was delicious.

  Recommend for transit hotel in central city

  Hotel Besar is nice hotel in purwokerto. Recommended if you want find a hotel with hommy, cozy, central city, good wifi access, good parking place and standard room but enough if you just to take a rest during your journey. The breakfast is standard but enough, match with the room price. Thank you hotel besar.

  Classic, Authentic, Heritage, Prijaji Taste

  Staying 3-day weekend business vacation in this hotel on April 2018 (Friday noon - Sunday afternoon) felt like living as colonial ancient high-class excitement holiday. It was clean and fresh ambience with full of high qualifed traditional & old ornament such as floors, furnitures,windows, vents, etc. For those who desire and indulge to live this sensational taste, this hotel may satisfy your dream destination. A bit modern accent board and fixtures inside rooms along square garden will be fun combination to see. At the back main hotel buliding, you may also stay a higher room type. Indeed, you will feel living in elite holiday class of society. A small question may be raised of wifi connection coverage to rooms at back part of hotel buliding. Breakfast menus should be more varied and quick to serve.

  Vintage hotel in the heart of Purwokerto

  We were lucky to experience being brought back to 1930's by staying at Hotel Besar. Its vintage design and a tranquil ambience makes us feel like staying at a reclusion/retreat place. The well preserved colonial design was truly charming. Bested by its stratetic location at the city's main road, comfort and clean facility, as well as staff's hospitality. One drawback is perhaps just the timing. During our stay, there was a major renovation behind the hotel, which makes some noisy, but still acceptable. Find yourself this experience. As we have made this hotel a preferred choice to stay while visiting Purwokerto.

  Revisited

  After the last visit at 2015,we returned to the hotel and some things turned out to be better and some other didn't change at all.Today they have a cafe/ restaurant so the breakfast were much better,the prices of rooms were still the same and also some other not so good things,no change at all,like t he bathroom,ac unit etc.Right after you checked in,please check your room make sure everything works,turn on the ac unit,etc don't hesitate to change a room.Closer look the bathroom,tv unit,matress.
