  Traditional German hotel

  Stayed 2 nights for a brief ski trip. Perfectly good, no complaints. Location close to centre of town is good and free parking was available. Very comfortable and clean room. Breakfast was very good, high quality and fresh ingredients. Free use of sauna etc in sister hotel 5 mins walk away (only minor downside of this was there was nowhere to change except in the foyer of the wellness area).

  Beautiful Hotel, But..

  I stayed at the Bavaria Hotel for 4 nights. The place is beautiful. It is just beautiful. Everything looked pretty, the lobby, the rooms and the breakfast area. You just feel that you are in an old beautiful well maintained house in Germany. However, I visited in the Summer and it was REALLY hot. There is no air-conditioning system and the hotel does not provide fans. I opened the windows at night so that I can sleep but my room was filled with insects. They were everywhere . There were bugs on the towels and when I screamed my neighbor knocked at my door to complain because the walls are not soundproofed. So i bought a fan! A very basic and limited breakfast was included in my room rate but it did not look tempting even to my empty stomach. The scrambled eggs looked funny and the bread did not look fresh. I wanted some tea and the person who was cleaning the tables with her hands grabbed the tea pot and two of her fingers were inside the pot and that was it. I did not want that tea any more and I decided to skip breakfast after that. in terms of location, the hotel is 10 minutes walk from the main train station but a bit far from the old town. I won't stay there again.

  Homey stay with homemade breakfast

  A stay at Hotel Bavaria is like you stay with you cousins family - warm and homey. Breakfast is freshly made early in the morning in the restaurant area. My bedroom has a garden view that you can see nice little garden. I love the high huge old tree at the entrance and two cute rabbits in the garden. Service team is helpful particularly the front office lady who always helping us and giving useful information and directions to places. Thank you.

  Excellent Little B&B

  I have had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Bavaria twice, and both times were great! The first time I went, I stayed with several friends all in little one person rooms that were quite cozy. The second time, I came with my family who stayed in their best room while I stayed in the same room. Both times, I had a consistently good experience complete with good breakfast. But the service sets this place apart - the family that runs this hotel is very warm, welcoming, and a gold standard of German (okay, global!) Hospitality! One time o forgot my headphones there - they mailed them back to me. I actually just found out we got a Christmas card from them as well - we live in the USA and they still sent good wishes. Anytime I am in GP, I will be back. Lastly, to address a few points: Germany generally doesn't have AC anywhere in the summer, and the location I found to be excellent to walk anywhere in GP.
