welcome stop overPassed through Rodez as we tried to find a hotel that was easy access and quiet, the ones in the town all seemed to centre in the commercial area except for the very expensive. Deciding to push on we came to a small town where we found this logis hotel. Staff were welcoming and friendly and the room was superb full onsuite facilities and tea and coffee making tray laid on. (A first) before an excellent dinner we walked along the river that was at the rear of the hotel and saw trout catching the evening Sun, there preening its self on the bank was an otter. Dinner was excellent, when taken with the local wine, the lady chef, came to the table to check all was well and took the time for a pleasant chat. Before leaving we had freshly make bread and croissants washed down with tasty coffee. Well recommended.

I have never before been thrown out of an hotel.OR "Is this tjhe worst hotel in France? Probably"When booking the hotel I explained that my wife and I were both in our late 70s and required either a ground floorroom, a lift, or assistance with our cases.Once Reception was opern (2 hours after our early arrival) the lady on the desk said that - despite what I had been told in the email sent in response to my request- that they did not help with cases, only hand luggage. We repaired to the car park and removed our overnight requirements from our cases into our hand luggage and carted these up two flights of stairs ourselves. About an hour later the proprietor arrived and came up to ask about our reception. When I said that it had been frightful he said if we did not like his hotel we did not have to stay there and that we should pack up and leave. This we did, found a better, cheaper and nicer room in the Kyriad.

Sunday LunchAbout 10 minutes from Rodez the restaurant at this hotel is extremely good. The service was excellent and very attentive. Foodwise, we had courses of terrine of fish, trout and superb lamb cutlets all cooked superbly and delivered to our table by the cheerful waiter. For dessert we enjoyed fresh raspberries and cream, again very well presented and flavoursome. We had carafes of white and red wine, both from the Gaillac region and we were very pleased that they were of the high quality as was mentioned and recommended by the waiter. The owner of the hotel/restaurant came in and asked us and other diners if we were happy with our meal to which we replied that we were, very mush so. Excellent Music was being played at very low volume which added to our enjoyment.
