One of the worst I have been in for a long timePositives: Staff nice, helpful, trustworthy. Fabulous location overlooking beach, water. Negatives: needs a complete revamp. Very oppressive rooms - small, dark, nothing looks clean although I think it is OK. Beds terrible - no doubles or queens, 2 singles that you could not join. bathroom tiny and had tiny showers it's next to nowhere to put anything or dry any towels. Food not great either although kind of expected that. There are many good restaurants in Podgora. This hotel is definitely not suitable for any Aussie, Kiwi, UK or American visitors. We are used to much better than this.

Discriminates against single people by only giving back rooms with no sea viewsThe hotel will only give rooms to single people at the back of the hotel with no views of the sea. The rooms are small with barely enough room between the bed and the walls. There is no place to put the suitcase other than on the bed. 2 small chairs in front of the bedside table on one side of the bed There is instant hot water in the shower but no shower gel is provided just a bar of soap on the basin. Nice soft towels to use and a bath mat for the floor which is useless as the shower always floods the floor as the shower curtain does not function properly. A glass in a plastic bag is provided. More than sufficient hanging space for clothes. The room has a small window which when opening there is a fixed shutter which does not open at all. There is also a door onto the balcony which is the most spacious part of the room with a table and 2 chairs. On the second visit I got a room on the 4th floor and managed to get internet there during the night but not during the day. The hotel has only got internet close to the reception desk on the 3rd floor of the hotel. The entrance is down a steep slope from the road just wide enough for 2 cars to pass but not any other larger vehicles. There is parking spaces for a few cars. The hotel is on a side road just off the main coastal road. The single lift is only large enough for 2 people. Evening meal consists of soup which you help yourself plus a rabbit food bar for the women. There is a choice of 3 main meals one of which is fish; plus vegetables and rice or spuds. The first evening you had to have a huge mound of disgusting sauerkraut even though I said I did not want it. The chicken though was tasty. No desert. I ordered a glass of white wine which cost 24 Kuna and tasted like vinegar so left it after 2 sips. A bottle of mineral water cost 18 Kuna. No desert. For breakfast there was watery yoghurt and a bowl of stewed fruit [cornflakes were available to add to this as was cold milk], scrambled eggs and pieces of frankfurters. Brown rolls or bread, butter, pate, cheese spread and slices of cheese and cheap sausage. Coffee or chocolate came out of a machine as did apple or orange juice which tasted of chemicals and not of the real thing at all. There was an indoor swimming pool which was unheated and we were told it was too cold to use. A block had been built on the seaside of the hotel and went from the 3rd floor down to floor zero and this section had 2 larger lifts. and brought you down to the level of the indoor and outdoor swimming pools. A further lift took you down to the sea promenade but this rarely worked. The beach was a mixture of sand and pebbles and was about 2 metres wide. There was only one bar open in the village and all other establishments were closed. Much building work was being done as no building work is allowed from the 1st May until mid October withy many workers working from 7 am until 6pm. There was a noisy building site right next to the hotel where the Hotel Mediteran seemed to be being rebuilt. Ask for a room on the fourth floor as you might get internet at night.

Average to poorFood was great and there was a lot of variety, however, I found some rotten cheese and asked kindly the receptionist to show it to the manager. No excuses. The receptionist was just saying it.s not their fault and no manager bother to interract with us. Rooms were not very clean. I found spider web and the terrace was very dirty. I appreciated a lot the food variety and the kitchen personnel (cannot say the same thing about reception).

Just Excellent..againAs you might know, it was our third visit and I am happy to say that nothing changed in the mean time. Pros: Great location, superb views, excellent food, both indoor and outdoor pool, pleasant and friendly stuff Cons: Our stay was too short

Average to poorThe hotel is in a good location, which could be very useful. The hotel is very unfriendly staff, the main receptor on arrival did not give any information about the hotel: where to find a restaurant, the time of meals is absolutely nothing. It's main task is to buy a parking lot, where you charge 15eur per day for the parking lot, which will be outdoors when you drive to hotel and will irrigate their water system and the trees flowers fall on the car. After 10 days, we had a car there before leaving the car wash, because it was completely in flower. In the opinion of 8eur, the parking spaces are sold out and even if the parking lot can not be transferred during the rest of the time if it is not in accordance with the rules. Food at the hotel is very below the normal level. It was usually overwhelming with dinner, and food, especially potatoes and salads, which was not washed and cleaned, would have become food for the hotel. For breakfast you will get cheap fakes of chocolate cream, greek yogurt with water, low-quality fresh sausages, greasy cheese, old bread which can be delivered to 3 days. The hotel rooms was cleaned and look in the 80's. During our stay, we had a room in inside, where every afternoon on the balcony stinked from the kitchen after a crispy soy, the chefs radiated the rooms. I do not recommend the hotel.
