  Llegamos al hotel un poco más tarde de lo esperado por el retraso en el vuelo. El hotel está un poco alejado del centro, pero en una zona sumamente tranquila, donde se puede incluso dejar el vehículo en la calle. Es más, yo había reservado un garage techado, y me hicieron notar que no era necesario el gasto y realmente no o fue. Habitación cómoda, baño amplio, buena wi fi. La piscina es de agua fría pero como había días calurosos estuvo bien usarla al regreso de los paseos. El desayuno es normal, pero da para comenzar bien el día. Sin duda lo recomiendo.

  Nice hotel with good service

  A very nice hotel. We arrived quite late but that was no problem. Both owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite big, comfortable and clean. Breakfast is excellent and much more than we expected from a small hotel: cold cuts, cheeses, yoghurt, even scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages and to my delight gluten free bread. The guy that worked in the restaurant was very attentive and even rinsed my husbands boiled egg in cold water. Its a little away from the city center but only 25 minutes walk to most sights like the cathedral. Only minus was that the stairs are very steep and hard to climb and there is no lift. There was a really good genuine Chinese restaurant only 2 minutes walk from the hotel And the owners also recommended some others not far from the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

  Comfortable, quiet and hospitable

  I stayed for three nights in this hotel coming to Reims for a conference, and could not be more happy to highly recommend the place for anyone coming to Champagne, be it business or pleasure. The hotel is located in a very quiet neighborhood some 20 minutes walk from the city center and the train station, and it took me about 30 minutes of a (very) quiet stroll to the congress center. The hotel itself boasts a more than 150-years history, it is still run by the family, and the proprietor is an extraordinary person indeed. The staff, likewise, are very pleasant people, with lively and pleasing conversation and very attentive approach. The young man at the front desk also spoke truly excellent English and was absolutely charming and obliging. The room that I had was on the second floor. The indoor stairs gave out to the open (roofed) corridor, like in many French hotels. The room was very comfortable, with a large bed, a working corner, TV set, spacious closet, minibar, and very comfortable bathroom with a bath tub. Everything was spotlessly clean, throughout the stay. The WiFi signal was strong and steady, and I was able to work in the evenings without any difficulty. No noise in the room, although the neighboring rooms were quite inhabited. Air conditioning was there but was turned off as the weather was fine. The sleeping quality was great and very refreshing. Breakfast was plainly excellent. Cold cuts, a variety of excellent cheeses, egg boiler (you place a raw egg in a holder and keep it there by your taste), omelette, bacon, sausages, pancakes, fresh croissants, excellent coffee, and other things that I don't even remember now - ample, plentiful, and very tasty. The hotel also has swimming pool, and a spa. Unfortunately I had no chance to get into any of it, but it looked very promising. Reims is a worthy place to visit, and if I would be so fortunate as to come back - I will definitely choose to stay au tambour. I highly recommend the place to everyone.

  stay for one night on tour of WWI sightseeing.

  Very little worked. Bathrooms flooded from next room, sink wouldn't open.Room small but serviceable. Window opened onto street, w/ car only a few yards away. Quite quiet though; any car starting would have changed that. Breakfast OK.

  Hidden gem just outside Reims center

  Visited end Aug/begin Sept 2020. It's 20-30 min walk to the Cathedral in the city center, which is fine!! Hotel has a clean pool, you can order drinks at the pool. We rented e-bikes for 1 day at the hotel. Breakfast was good, you can sit outside or inside. Coffee, tea, juice, croissants, bread and an assorti of cheeses. Rooms have a fridge/mini bar. Owners are realy friendly and speak English. Would definately come back again!
