    Unusually spacious for Japan

This is a not-so-new hotel that must have been quite the destination back in the 1970s. It had some nice features. Space was the most obvious virtue. You can travel a long time in Japan and never see hallways this wide -- wide enough for two groups (not just people) to pass side-by-side. The restaurants had lots of space. The bathrooms too. We reserved a deluxe room because we had three people. Even with the portable bed set up, the room was huge, with a cozy sofa, table and chair. That had me smiling the whole time. It was an unexpected twist in an outer island of the Ryukyus. Felt a little like a hotel in another part of the world. View was great of the concrete ferry dock and marina and the wonderfully blue-green sea. Fun to watch the ferries load cars and shoot out toward other islands. This must be an excellent choice for people hopping by ferry from one island to another. We asked for a non-smoking room. The ash tray on the table suggested we either didn't get non-smoking or there is no such luxury here. Mattresses were hard. No bounce. I did my stretching on the bedtop. Ha. A gymnastics floor would have been softer, so I avoided the double flips with a full twist. I guess some people like beds that hard? TV was fuzzy, small and old. Part of the charm. We didn't miss it. No Internet service that I could locate. But again, was kind of like being back in the 70s, so I rather enjoyed the tranquility. My wife wished for just one thing: a bit of fragrance in the room. It smelled musty. If you looked hard at the stained carpets, you could see why. We arranged for a package of room and rental car. We didn't spend much time in hotel. More in car (which also had that tobacco smell). So overall, the reasonable cost, the big breakfast, the roominess, the view -- all worked fine for us. We sleep on futon most of the time anyway, so what's another night on a hard surface? The place has its nice touches. The ballroom stairs and mezzanine floor looked impressive. Just don't think you're going to stay in a modern resort. It probably had that high-class resort feeling 40 years ago. Now it's kind of faded but interesting, especially if you're a novelist looking for a setting. If you're traveling with three or four people in a room, this place isn't the worst pick, especially if you've known the sardine feeling of being wedged into a tiny but typical Japanese hotel room in other, more urban areas. Just bring your room (and car) freshener.

    Good hotel !

We came here for beach tourist , this hotel is well located, great sea views. I realize that no many foreigners come here, the hotel was no longer new, many things have to use long utensils have not been renewed, on the service it is full of function rooms, such as a bar,gym room . The staff here is also very warm service, restaurant is also very tasty.
