  Excellent deal for a great location.

  Its not 5* luxury, but for a great deal in Cannes the Athenee is very hard to beat. Friendly, helpful welcome. Simple, clean facilities. Breakfast does the job well without being over fussy or overpriced. Very central location. I was on a business trip and price was important. This was the best deal and well worth it.

  Probaly the best hotel hosts in the world!

  I spent MIPIM at the Athenee this week and would recommend to anyone. The owners are hands on and probably the nicest front of house I've ever experienced. Lovely little hotel with exceptional people.

  Wonderful Place to Stay

  We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Athenee and would stay there again. It's not fancy, the rooms are simple, but an effort has been made in the decor (our room was the Matisse room with Matisse on the walls, which was nice). The beds are nice and comfy and it's on a quiet street, so I got great sleeps. The location is great, just a block from Rue D'Antibes and close to great restaurants. The breakfast was great and I can't possibly say enough about the warmth and helpfulness of the two lovely owners. Pascal even had a taxi (more like a town car) sent to pick us up at the airport and drop me off at the Palais because I had a meeting shortly after we landed. He repeated over and over to the driver to make sure I was on time for my meeting (on that note Henri, the driver is also a gem!). My only suggestion to the owners would be to warn us North American travelers not to take too long of a shower (if there's two of us) because the hot water tanks are smaller than we're used to :-).

  A delightful 4 day stay

  By chance I walked into Hotel Athenée across the street when my pre-arranged accommodation did not work out. They could not have been more helpful and showed me a several rooms - the 'Sharon Stone' room and the 'Marilyn' room one flight up. Both were charming. I chose the 'Marilyn'. You really felt you were in Cannes. AC worked well.. Never freezing. A good size fridge to keep some snack. A waterboiler for a cuppa. WiFi worked perfectly for my 3 iPads. An ample desk was provided. Staff could not be more helpful with restaurant suggestions, transport. Location is tops, a short walk from the station, the beach or La Croisette. I highly recommend and hope to return.

  Hidden gem

  Second stay at Athenee, always as great! The hotel is cosy, super-clean, rooms are lovely (calm, AC works perfectly), breakfast exceptionnel and the owners are absolutely remarquable. It is certainly the best value you can find in this super-central location, only a few steps from Rue d'Antibes, Croisette, the beaches and the Palais des Festivals.
