  A Dismal Hotel with Poor Customer Care

  We were on a coach tour to Sicily and stayed here overnight on our way back up Italy. Superficially the hotel looked good on arrival but on close inspection it was shoddy and ill equipped. The rooms were dismal and the bathrooms small and poorly organised such that our feet were in the shower tray when on the loo! Most of our party had no hot water in their rooms and despite complaints to the management this situation persisted until we left the following morning. When I complained I was really irritated by the lack of concern by the staff. One staff member ran the tap in the bar sink which produced warm water, as if to disprove my assertions, or perhaps to invite me to wash in it!! She then shrugged her shoulders and said "problem!" After a feeble attempt by another staff member to diagnose the problem in our room we were given another room where the water was just warm enough for a shower in the evening. However, by morning it was cold. On the plus side our evening meal was acceptable and the bar prices very reasonable.

  basic but convenient

  Situated within walking distance of the town center and the famous water fountains. room spacious but no mod cons, but suited our needs perfectly for the 1 night we spent in this quaint little village. Served a good breakfast in the morning.

  Good location

  We only stayed in this hotel for one night but would have been happy to stay longer. Our room was comfortable with satellite tv, radio and wi fi. The bathroom was clean and modern with a shower. The hotel also had a sauna solarium. Dinner was very good; minestrone soup to start then a macaroni dish followed by port, potatoes, peas and salad finishing off with a big bowl of delicious fresh fruit. The breakfast was also good, eggs, cereals, rolls, cake, fruit and yoghurt. The hotel is set in a nice location and after dinner Graham and I went for a nice walk in the nearby square taking in all the shops. A safe, pleasant place to go for a stroll in the evening.

  Comfortable Hotel

  Stayed here for one night with Leger Coach holiday tour and was very pleased with our room although we overlooked the car park but, hey ,it was only one night. Towels in Italy seemed to be all like pillow cases,ie very thin not what were used to. Breakfast was quite adequate with usual cereals ,juices and continental. Nice quaint place with a 10 minute stroll to town.

  Ok for a stopover

  This was a pleasant enough hotel with what appeared to be Roman themed decoration. The bedroom was clean and comfortable if on the small side. Basic furnishings with no tea/coffee facility, fridge or room safe. No english channels on the TV. Bathroom was small with a shower only and enclosed within the room making it even smaller! Drinks were cash only but cheap compared to other hotels we stayed at in Italy. Dinner was tasty and nourishing served to our table but with no choice other than take it or leave it! Very central position in the town. We found that the electric sockets took a mixture of the thick and thin pinned adaptors. There was no air conditioning. The swimming pool and spa were closed. The wifi signal was not that strong but ok and free.
