  Nice Location

  Location is excellent, just opposite to Aeon mall. You can walk all the way from the train station, through underground pathway to the basement of Aeon mall, crossing the footbridge to this hotel. No parking facility is provided, but you can park the car at the designated public car park, which is just a block away, at the back of hotel. You can exchange the parking ticket at ¥900 a day with the hotel. You are reminded to fetch an extra blanket at the hotel lobby because the standard blanket in the room may be a little bit too short to cover your feet. The cleanliness of room is acceptable, front desk staff speaks limited English. Simple set breakfast is provided in the morning.

  Old building and rooms

  The place is close to AEON mall, but not that close to the Okayama JR station. The staff are great and they are helpful. However, the hotel is old and rooms are small. The furnitures, walls and everything in the room are so old. Their electricity system is also very strange, you insert the key to turn on the electric box near the entrance of your room, you can hear it turning on as it will have a loud sound. You can also hear others inserting their keys. The furnitures are all worn out. you can see tape on the wall as well. I had a fly in my room for the night. You also have to return your key when you exit the hotel, you only give a room number and they will give you back the key, security is an issue. Even though staff are nice, I will not stay here again.

  Simple accomodation on perfect location!

  Don't expect too much of this place: the rooms are very small and basic. But for us it had the most important elements for a short stay in okayama: clean rooms, friendly staff, basic breakfast included in the charming cafe AND most of all..perfect location! On walking distance of the station, so we could visit Kurashiki in the morning and visit the Okayama castle in the afternoon. Also, a very nice mall is just across the street. Very nice restaurants and bars in the small streets behind it. Good value for money.

  Avoid!

  We spent two nights at this hotel (two nights too many). There comes, unfortunately, only one positive thing to mind that I can mention, which is that the hotel is close to the station. The room was disgustingly dirty (carpet, walls, bed cover, door...), so dirty that you'd want to avoid touching anything. Plus walls were extremely thin, so you could hear everything that happened to the left, to the right and probably also on the floor on top and below. Honestly, this is a disgrace.

  Would not recommend going here

  Pros: - the only pro I can think of is the location. Its a 10 minute walk to the main station and theres a 7-11 around the corner. Cons: - dirty walls and musty smell - old furniture - half of the staff were unhelpful and abrasive - very thin walls - can only have one key and it has to be handed over the counter every time you leave - uncomfortable bed and pillows - small and cramped room for two people The only reason we were here was because our travel agent booked us here. If we had read reviews or done our own research, I would not have gone here. AVOID.
