Tui package deal last minuteI note no recent review's of this hotel by English so i will be honest. Hotel is a great old monastery building converted to a hotel. There is a camp/caravan site attached at the rear we had no issues with that. Staff are all great and helpful. One of the receptionists worked in Beckenham!room was good and cleaned every day and beds made. We booked half board here lies the issue, the hotel caters for Germans and Dutch. The waitress said they don't get many British, breakfast okay normal continental stuff, but the evening meals not so good its a set menu with limited choices 3 courses. Starters okay usually a pasta option in there, main meals for the week we was there all a bit weird, example a small portion of chicken curry with rice roast potatoes and boiled carrots! All meals aimed for the Germans. So we ate out few times no a lot close by its long walk to find a decent restaurant. We used the a la carte resturant on site food was superb!. Also of note Tui rep was impossible to get hold of isnt one on site. And our air con broke down but that was the whole hotel for 3 days, so i won't deduct a point for that, one of them things. Hotel is a four star i would agree with that but food is two star on half board

Worst experience of our hotel stays so far we had to run out!!!I decided to write this review about our stay there last year to warn our members about this hotel. As you can see from my other reviews i am not a picky person- if there are some basic standards respected i am quickly pleased. Location is good also surroundings are well cared. Insides are as name suggests antic- and that was also cause for described problems. Food was worst i had eaten in any hotel so far. Remembered me on food we had during communist regime in school. Tasteless, dry... Rooms were not maintained and poorly cleaned, beds with old classic spring matresses. On first night i woke up in room was just too hot to sleep. I located culprit - radiators were full on- you must belive me on this- they were near 90 degrees. I tried to shut them down but with no success. I went straight to reception, told about this and lady just advised me to open window- radiators can not be switched off. I requested this to be fixed next day, but no one addressed this issue so we simply left this Faulty Towers next day.

Three night stayHotel accommodation, ambiance, views and location all excellent. Unfortunately, the staff appeared to be in a near constant state of panic, particularly in the dining areas. Whilst the food in general was also very good, the choice for those with special dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarians, vegans) was particularly limited (mainly to accepting or declining what they are given - no choice provided).
