  El hotel está muy bien, la ubicación en el centro antiguo de la ciudad es magnífica. Además en 2 minutos llegas al lago. Las habitaciones son amplias, cómodas y con un baño grande y muy completo, además tienen una nevera pequeña en el escritorio, que siempre viene bien tener. El personal es estupendo, muy agradables, siempre ayudando y con una sonrisa, tanto el personal de recepción, como los camareros. El desayuno es muy completo, con una variedad muy amplia y para todos los gustos. La cena muy buena también, siempre algo de pasta y fueron muy atentos buscando siempre una opción vegetariana para nosotros, algo que se agradece. La única pega es que tienes que pagar por el wifi.

  Quaint hotel

  We wanted to stay in the old part of Riva del Garda on a recent holiday with Riviera Travel so we chose the Antico Borgo. It is a lovely, small hotel on the cobbled back streets of Riva. Our room was very basic but had everything we needed (except for a kettle for an early morning cuppa). The shower was small and extra shelving is needed in the bathroom. However there is a fridge (not freezer) and a safe. There is adequate choices for breakfast and you can make your own tea. The yoghurt is lovely. In the evening is a four course meal with four options which you choose during breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful.We tried to upgrade to a balcony but the hotel was full, however we were quite glad that we didn't as they really only overlook a small side street. They do have a roof terrace where you can lie on a sunbed or sit at a table and look over the town. All in all, I would stay there again and the location is very central.

  Nice but too quiet

  The hotel is down a busy cobbled street in the town centre you can not access it directly from the road. Our bus dropped us off at the near by ferry port, where we were greeted by hotel receptionist they took our luggage and guided us on foot to the hotel We had to wait for our room to be ready which was abit annoying as we had already been delayed at the airport waiting for a second flight to arrive. Room We had a street facing twin room with no balcony. We didnt feel a balcony was necessary as we spend alot of time out and about sightseeing. If you have the windows open it is very noisey from the street below but there are shutters and good double glazed windows to filter the noise. Im glad I didnt book a balcony as they look out onto a dirty back street and overlooked by the stairwell. If you want a quiet spot use the small but adequate roof terrace. Room was clean and modern looking. 2 beds, safe (free to use) fridge, tv, ensuite bathroom, air conditioning and hairdryer. There isnt alot of storage space for clothes. Food/Restaurant On the first night you are shown to a table that is your table for the length of your stay. Starter is salad and buffet food There is 4 courses all together -pasta, main and desserts are table service that you choose at breakfast time. One of the evening meals neither of us could find anything to eat for our main course, the head waiter agreed that we could have an omelette with the vegetables served, although an odd combination it was nice to even be given that option. The portions are small and even with for course still not really enough. The food does taste nice and good quality just need at least double The atmosphere in the restaurant is rather unpleasant with white padded walls bright lighting and people eating in silence. The waiters in their tuxedos watching over you do not make you feel at ease Breakfast is all buffet with cereal, toast, cooked, fruit and pastries to choose from all you can eat style Tea, coffee and juices are included at breakfast. If you have an early pick up for the return flight home be sure to ask about getting an early breakfast. Breakfast usually starts at 7:30am but when we departed we were picked up at that time so they allowed us to eat at 6:30am they then took our cases to the ferry port at 7 am. Riva itself is a bit boring especially in the evening when the only thing to do is eat and visit one of the local bars/cafe The cable cars up mount Baldo in Malcesine is a MUST there will be a long queue but the view at the top is breath-taking. Make sure you go as part of your visit to the lake.

  Lovely hotel

  Just stayed at the Antico Borgo Hotel in Riva del Garda for a week on a Riviera holiday. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Given 4 stars only because evening meal is small portions as mentioned by other reviews, although having said that, there are 4 courses and it is sufficient. Would definitely be my hotel of choice if I went back to Riva.

  Wonderful hotel in Riva Del Garda, Italy. Highly recommended.

  We are a couple, that loves Italy and finding cozy and luxury hotels in this wonderful country. Hotel Antico Borgo, can be chosen because of the hotel standard and friendly and service-minded staff. And the room service is outstanding. We asked for a bottle of "bubbles" and they served the bottle and delicious tapas for two persons. The staff kindly answered our questions about tourist targets around The Lake Garda. Thank you for a memorable stay. We booked the hotel by Hideaways services.
