  Muy lindo hotel

  Ubicado a pasos de corso italia, la calle principal de cortina. Muy lindo hotel. Tiene estacionanmiento propio. Nos hicieron un upgrade a una habitacion superior. El cuarto muy lindo, el banio tambien, aunque le falta ducha. Esta el hidromasaje con un duchador de mano. El desayuno no es muy completo que digamos, mas si uno va en temporada de ski, y es de desayunar de manera abundante.

  Hotel pequeñito pero acogedor

  Nos alojamos para unos días de ski en el Ambra y hemos estado muy cómodos y bien atendidos, con parking privado y una salita para esquiadores donde te calientan las botas para el día siguiente. El personal muy amable y las habitaciones y baños muy limpias. Nos hicieron un upgrade gratuito a la habitación fashion y estuvimos encantados con nuestro jacuzzi con vistas a faloria.

  All About Ambra

  We stayed here for a week. What a fantastic location, right in the very heart of Cortina, one block off the main shopping street, across the street from a ski rental place, and walking distance to the bus station and ski busses. Really, you would be hard pressed to find a more ideal location. The service was great. The staff speaks English well and bent over backwards to accommodate our every wish. The hotel is generally quite clean, with the exception of the tops of the poster beds, which are extremely dusty. The rooms are small but nicely decorated. The wifi works well. The bathrooms are modern- we had a double overhead shower. Breakfast was fine, with coffee or tea made to order. The bar near the reception is well stocked, again with drinks made to order. The downstairs ski storage room is modern and nicely appointed. Now the negatives: 1) The noise, noise, noise, noise. We stayed in room 17, and there was absolutely NO sound insulation whatsoever. We could hear everything our neighbors did and said. Moreover, our room was above the trash cans, and every morning at 5:50 we were awakened by the garbage truck making its pick up. The staff recycling bottles also woke us up on many occasions. 2) The ski room would have been great if the staff looked after it, but they seem to ignore its existence. Twice we returned from skiing to find the room locked from the inside (their is a keypad, but that doesn't help if the door is bolted from the inside). Moreover, twice we arrived to the ski room in the morning to find the boot heaters off and our boots still wet from the night before. This is just a little thing, but it means a lot. Also, to get to the ski room can be a perilous journey, down a steep driveway and many steps. 3) The owner has strange taste in art. To each their own, but I could have done without all the nudity. The statue of the topless woman at the front door is especially strange, as is the statue of the bound and gagged woman on the living room table. All in all, though, the positives far outweigh the negatives, and we are glad we stayed at the Ambra.

  Hotel Ambra - Cortina

  We arrived at hotel Ambra in the midst of the Corona Virus with much upheaval occurring. In the midst of the concerns, Chiara, Alessia and the team did everything within their powers to ensure we had the best possible time that we could. The hotel is wonderfully positioned, the rooms were comfortable and the breakfast provided was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

  Warning to all the guests

  During my last staying at hotel Ambra, we experienced and faced a very concerning matter,. One of the staff, from Moldavia, non authorised to get access to guests details ( dress, credit cards, etc) violated the rule wit no reason. Wwe have tried to get in touch with the manager or owners, in vain, more to get reassured that our details won't be used for illicit purposes. A few days later, we got an email threatening us to not mention the episode . I believe that I have the freedom to express and tell my experiences and nobody has the authority to forbidden me in a very aggressive and rude way, more4 so when it is hospitality industry. So people watch out who is behind the counter. Just a little detail, we have stayed there many times and never saw that night shift person from M Moldavia, who was rude and had no reasons to provide us for his behaviour. I still wonder, what these people could do with personal details, the company hotel Ambra should keep it safe and reassure guests that no Moldavian staff or any unauthorised staff could have access to and use such.
