  Basic Hotel - no frills

  We stayed one night. This hotel satisfied our requirement, just a place to stay for a night at a budget price. It is situated in the industrial side of Maizuru. The staff do not speak English with the exception of a cleaner, which made communication difficult as our Japanese is non existant. The room was basic but ok.

  Nice staff but disappointing onsen

  Pros - Staff are helpful although with limited English. - complimentary coffee and green tea most of the day - Rooms are spacious - We dined in a very nice Japanese style room in their restaurant. Food was fine. One free drink per hotel guest which was nice. We did not know pre-order was required for their multiple course dinner. I hoped the staff had told us. Cons - Unable to provide humidifier explaining too many requests from quests - The onsen is a joke as the water is not hot enough on the lady side while boiling hot on gentleman side.

  Very nice room and excellent staff

  The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood not far from Route 27. Its in a good location, with the covered shopping street a couple of blocks away and a street with a number of the better restaurants also close by. I was given Room 520, a spacious twin bed room with two large windows facing west. The room was nicely appointed. There was a partial view of the bay and a nice view of the hills. The bedding was very comfortable, the area very quiet, and with opening windows there was a lot of fresh air, so I slept very well. The toilet room was completely separate. There was another room with a sink, and that was separated with a door from the shower and tub, which were also separate in the style of a Japanese home, so you can soap up, scrub and shower off while the tub is filling and then get a nice, hot soak. You dont see this in a hotel setting very often and its a very nice touch. The hotels onsen is small but nice. The staff were excellent throughout, very helpful and positive. Breakfast was mostly Japanese food items, cooked well and very tasty. I really enjoyed my stay and will certainly return.

  Pleasant place to rest

  They facilitate onsen which useful in cold weather. Eventhough not five star hotel, but their bed was comfortable. Also their staff very friendly and helpful when my sensei were is halal food located. Please, don't doubt to stay here.
