  Three star plus

  We found this hotel on our way back from Italy. It was not the kind of hotel we were looking for, but what a pleasant surprise. Very friendly welcome at the reception desk, and although we we were late for diner, it was no problem to have a proper meal (well prepared ribeye). The rooms are very spacious, a hall, a large bathroom and a very large bedroom with a king size bed, a desk (with pen/paper/telefone) and two more or less comfortable chairs. The breakfast was comprehensive, fresh bread, even scrambled eggs/bacon/sausages, and everything was fresh and/or home made.

  Unexpected gem

  On our way north we pulled off the motorway and found this lovely hotel. Wonderful staff greeted us at reception and our amazing spacious room was amongst the best we've had in our 3 week trip, and all for a very reasonable price. Dinner in the lounge bar was excellent and great value as was breakfast.

  Spacious room and yummy breakfast

  Very nice hotel with a helpfull, host- friendly staff. Rooms are very spacious just as the bathroom itself. I could relax really well on the huge double bed because the matrace felt so comfy. Compairing with 3stars breakfast standards they have quite an outstanding selection also including salmon and smoked trout, nice bakeries. What i also liked a lot those funny old gadgets as decorations like an old typing maschine and a huge old timer camera which provide a cozy touch for the hotel. I can suggest the hotel to those who wants to enjoy a quiet but well equiped 3star hotel on a good prise/ quality level.

  Clean and at walkable distance from railway station

  Very small rooms without having electricity kettle in rooms. No provisions of tea or coffee in rooms. Breakfast is well laid down but very few options for vegetarians . At some veg sandwiches should be kept as people from all countries are staying in the hotel. Good part is receptionist is very helpful and cooperative. also receptionist knows English language which is very good.

  Tolles familiengeführtes Hotel - Best Service ever!

  Very nice, family owned hotel with a helpful, very friendly staff. The hotel is great for groups or doing seminars, but also for travelers on Autobahn 5 or B3 who are looking for a place to rest. The rooms are spacious, a hall, a large bathroom and a very large bedroom with a king size bed, a desk (with pen/paper/telephone) and two chairs. The huge bed offers a great and comfy mattress. We very much enjoyed the breakfast. They have quite an outstanding selection including salmon and smoked trout, nice bakeries, fresh bread, scrambled eggs/bacon/sausages. Everything was fresh and/or home made. What I also liked a lot those funny old gadgets as decorations like an old typing machine and a huge old timer camera which provide a cozy touch for the hotel. This was our third stay within the last couple of years. Each time we were a group of 7-10 people, using the excellent conference rooms which are well equipped. The internet connection was very good, which was important for our video conferences. This time I forgot my laptop when I left. The owner, Renate Haag, realized this about an hour after I left. She gave me a call and told me she was already in the car following me together with her son. We met at Kandel about 45 min. away from the hotel and they returned the laptop to me what an outstanding service!
