  Exceptional service

  Stayed 3 nights in Aug, single room. The owners were friendly, provided plenty of information, and worked hard to ensure a pleasant experience for their guests. Services such as storing bags or giving a ride to the bus station were happily obliged. Breakfast was very good. It was clean and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

  Excellent value, service, reception, breakfast

  The hotel created an excellent experience and memory for me right from the start during my 2 night stay. The owners and full time operating couple were attentive, informative, and welcoming throughout my two night stay. Got a ride from the main bus station to the hotel upon my arrival. The breakfast selection, restaurant cleanliness, and quality of food were above average. The single occupancy room was cozy and adequate. It had all the necessities. But the bed and the mattress made annoying squeaky noise as you rolled around naturally. Probably a little to thin for a full size adult. This would be main constructive feedback. The location is of course beautiful but you do need to plan and be comfortable for a 10-15 walk to the main parts of the village, unless you call a taxi. Id recommend the place and have no problem going back, but would try a room with higher quality bedding.

  Superb service, friendly and accomodating

  This is a lovely hotel, beautifully looked after, airy and bright. The owners are very attentive and caring of their guests. They provided lots of detailed information (in English!) and nothing was too much trouble. The gala dinner and fondue evening are worth booking, they are good value for money and it is always a great atmosphere. They have many guests who return year after year, and indeed at the Gala dinner they celebrated one couple who had been there 15 years running, and gave them a basket of gifts! The sauna was excellent, and all facilities including the use of the ski-room at the hotel Derby next to the slopes were superb. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Can't fault anything. We highly recommend this hotel.

  The kindest people you'll ever meet

  Hotel Etoile in Saas Fee is family-run, and running a hotel is clearly in their blood. This is exactly what a holidaymaker wants: super clean, lovely view of the surrounding mountains, and above all a very warm welcome by the family. You really feel looked after. Hospitality is something you can learn, but when it comes from the heart you can feel it. Highly recommended.

  So friendly!

  Like all hotels in Saas-Fee, you just have to ask to get the people collecting you at the parking (Saas-fee is car-free). But, I can tell you that they went far and beyond our expectations to be pleasant even in little details. - Very nice "gala dinner" proposed ahead of our arrival (and at a reasonable price) - Not putting any pressure on our eating in the hôtel, they offered many different options to eat out. - The Valais was offering vouchers (Covid-19 consequence) that they helped redeem. - They included Saastal card to get free cable cars for a couple of days. - A few little sweet niceties I won't describe to avoid creating expectations, but we felt like welcome friends, rather than customers. Nice smiles, of course. Family-owned business. Everybody here to help and please from the restaurant to the desk. Thanks you!
