  Family summer holiday

  Really great stay at Alpendorf aktiv hotel. Food was great, both breakfast and dinner courses. Kids were delighted with swimming pool and few other things like table tennis, kids room etc. Great location, near gondola and playground. We hope to come back.

  Always a pleasure

  We are a family of 4, kids aged 11 and 14 y.o. This was our second summer stay at Aktivhotel Alpendorf. We were so pleased with our first stay that we just had to come back! The hotel's location and amenities has already been described in other reviews, so let me just try to point out a few of the reasons why we love this hotel and why we will be coming back. Keywords are Quality and Friendliness. The hotel is very well maintained. I did not notice anything broken or out of order. It is my impression that the hotel chooses and values quality in everything they do. The staff is very friendly and strive to offer the best service. The host family is often seen in the restaurant and bar working alongside the staff or chatting friendly with the guests. In the summer period the hotel offers free guided trekking tours into the mountains for guests. This year we had the pleasure of joining a family friendly half-day trek to a mountaintop Almhütte led by the host family. Good company, beautiful scenery. Lastly I would like to praise the restaurant. The breakfast buffet has a wide selection of choices. All you need and expect. The evening dinner consists of a 5 course meal, a new menu every evening. If weather permits dinner is served outside on the terrace with mountain view.

  Ski holiday 2019

  We have been visiting the beautiful hotel Alpendorf in St Johan now for a number of years as I believe this was our 7th visit. We have travelled just as a couple but also stayed with all of our children and grandchildren in the past. This place never disappoints from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. The hotel and staff are amazing and nothing is any trouble. They always greet you with a warm friendly smile and are so attentive you have nothing to worry about whilst your there. There is very easy access to ski lifts for active holiday makers with the convince of having a boot and ski room at the base of the hotel. The chef is a master at creating the most amazing dishes in the evening and there are plenty of choices even if your diet is vegetarian. If you come to just relax and soak up the fresh mountain air the hotel offers a very relaxing wellness area along with a swimming pool with a quiet room to sit and relax in and read a book or just snooze. This was our first stay over the New Year period but we loved it that much we have already booked for our return visit this December in 2020. Anyone wanting to visit here will not be disappointed and Elvis the bar man makes the most amazing cocktails and always serves with a warm smile and friendly chat.

  March Ski Trip

  Excellent hotel, fantastic food, great service, very clean and high quality. Absolutely would recommend this efficiently run family hotel with ease . Staff make all the difference. To hotel Alpendorf thank you for your hospitality and especially to Elvis for Craft Ale sampling

  Amazing stay in the mountains!

  Amazing place to stay in the heart of the mountains!The Service level and the owners and staff are brilliant the whole way through! Im not a vegan personally but they accommodate for vegans and vegetarians without batting an eyelid or any judgement! Food is amazing! (Also the vegan!) I will definitely be staying here again hopefully in ski season next time!
