  relaxing place

  Nice and relaxing hotel, opened recently, design inspired by swiss chalet. 5 min drive to Polanica Zdroj resort and just 100m from the main road from Wroclaw. Friendly personnel, good food served at a restaurant and grill bar. There is dedicated indoor playground for children and small outdoor playground.

  Christmas stay with a touch of Scrooge

  A fairly new hotel - beds are comfortable, rooms are neat & clean & have all the basics in place for a comfortable stay. Food from the menu is tasty & breakfasts are good. Service is mostly very nice ... Nearly all the ladies at reception were very genuine, friendly & pleasant. An experienced Manager was missing in the restaurant - wait staff require hospitality training although all were fairly pleasant (one lady in particular stood out - long dark hair - as she was the only one that really knew how to comfortably interact with the guests). Generally speaking the buffet area was often missing tableware & staff were reactive to refilling this & food - which resulted in impatient guests waiting in a line or hovering in anticipation of clean mugs appearing. The tableware & food itself was badly organised so you found yourself going back & forth to get cups, bowls & plates - not to mention the area was very tight. The pool room is very loud is not acoustically furbished, the water is cold (particularly for an indoor pool) & the spa & sauna are available in very limited evening hours. The gym space is very small & badly equipped with most equipment broken or not serviced (cheap & unsuitable for heavy usage). All comes down to cost savings & reductions. There is no rest &/or relaxation area for spending outside of the room (eg. snooker table, television area, games room) - although a 3 seater lounge & armchair beside the fireplace in the dining area is an attempt to address this. A conference room was temporarily turned into a children's play area but it was cold & we did not take advantage of it. We signed up for a Christmas package & we were mostly disappointed with the shortcomings mentioned above - small details which made an impact on the overall impression. We were well fed & the food was nice ... but it was served in such an ungenerous way. Basic things like tea, coffee & non-alcoholic beverages were not available with meals (except breakfast), one dessert was cut into quarters & served individually (little larger than 1/4 of your palm), Christmas Eve dinner was catered like a Polish wedding (small platters placed in regular intervals) & one glass of wine was provided ... Our stay left us feeling a little puzzled ... it was almost (& could have been) great but not quite there. And all because of the lack of consistency & experience ... & above all generosity of heart & spirit at a time of giving. I would not recommend this hotel for their Christmas package ... it does not deliver on what it promises & is not value for money.

  Great family spot

  The hotel was very good -- just what we needed. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant had a very nice dinner (we ordered a la carte), and the included breakfast buffet was tasty and ample. The spa area has a dry and a wet sauna and a nice pool with some massage jets and current. It's not a big area and it would feel packed with 6-8 people, but we had it almost all to ourselves and it was perfect. The location is a short drive from downtown, so it's not a great place to stay if you want to visit Polanica-Zdroj walking. But for a comfortable and clean place to stay with the family, highly recommend.
